One more thing. First thing is to save up $1000 for emergencies before anything else. Then you pay in cash for future emergencies.
@ElmerPonceCastroАй бұрын
Yeah, no. At least three months worth of income is the way to do it. Takes a bit of sacrifice but it will be worth it in the end.
@rileykgardnerАй бұрын
@ Yes. Correct. But $1000 emergency fund is to pay for any small things come while getting out of debt. Once debt free then save up the real emergency fund.

Sue, I am soooo rooting for you. You should look into getting another card with a 0% interest APR to balance transfer so you don’t have to pay all that interest. I did that with a few cards of mine and saved a ton. YOU GOT THIS!!!! You go girl!!!! ❤❤❤
@caseysager655Ай бұрын
Or go to one of those places that consolidates all your debt into one payment at a lower APR.
@TheChrisChannelАй бұрын
@ Nooo… I wouldn’t recommend doing that. The creditors will never stop calling her because they make her accounts all past due. She is better off either paying it off herself, doing what I suggested or try settling with them directly.
@caseysager655Ай бұрын
@@TheChrisChannel I agree with the balance transfer, as long as you can pay it off in the alotted time and don't let the APR kick in. I never had huge CC debt, but starting out when I was living check to check I got into living CC payment to CC payment. Basically paying off the CC at the end of the month but then having to use the CC to live, it definitely sucked.
@TheChrisChannelАй бұрын
@ Awww, yes I completely understand and I am sorry. Debt is just never a fun thing… ever.

If she can get 0% interest by shifting her credit cards to another company would be HUGE in cutting her debt right away. That saves her thousands of bucks instantly..even if the 0% is 12-24 months, she will make a huge dent in the card payments by eliminating interest

I LOVE your transparency and your point that one solution is not a one size fits all solution. I have found for me that also sending a small amount weekly makes a HUGE difference. It doesn't seem like it would but even $10 a week or $25 a week reduces the daily interested rate on the credit card so it has a larger impact then sending $40 or $100 once a month. Plus it just stings less when you submit the payment in smaller amounts. This also works for house payments and can shave years off of a home loan without paying more money!

Way to go. Keep it up. I am starting my journey Nov 1st for my buying freeze. There were a few things I wanted to order that became available today. I feel it’s easier for you to freeze buying since the studios and others send you releases. For me it’s all on my own self control and will power. But I want to be debt free and I have to make changes. This weekends project is to get the budget up to date so I can see where I am at. Again you’re inspiring and motivating me.

I recently paid off my debts that I spoke of some comments ago very early (no interest as I was on time and was just payment plans). I just wanted it to not be sticking to me anymore 😎 So thank you for the motivation! Keep up the awesome work on your end ❤️ I don’t usually comment much on videos. You just continue paying off this debt one step at a time. I did this to save spending money on movies I was unsure would be good or not, checking out movies from the library or even tv series also. I only purchase movies or shows that I'm sure I love or have loved when I watched on tv. Anything new I would check it out the Library especially if It's new, the older movies get scratched up by people and doesn't work well with my DVD player.
@jamieelfers3151Ай бұрын
To be honest, you should be paying the minimum on each credit card and then putting the extra money to the card with the highest interest rate...not to the card with the lowest balance. (Unless your lowest balance has the highest rate)

Definitely stick to what keeps you motivated. One thing I would recommend is don’t pocket that 200 from the hospital bill; put that toward your red CapOne or your BlueCapOne each month now (or split between the two).

That's exactly what I want to do! Sorry if I wasn't clear with my plan!
@jeffkeeton4787Ай бұрын
It’s great you’re motivated.Keep it going. I only disagree with attacking the smaller bills first. I’d go after the biggest one. The bigger the balance the more the interest is negating you’re minimum payment. You’re barely impacting the actual balance. You do what’s best for you though. Stay positive!

the best i did was to take out a Loan from the bank with a lower interst rate, at tleast you have one payment of X amount which allowed me to pay off bigger chunks rathan than a few pounds/Dollars mininum because the interest loop will keep you in debt. cut up the cards do not use them again. one

I'm really happy your working through this and rooting for you big time. I have a few questions. Is this debt all from buying physical media? And if so was it worth it? I think I know the answer to the second question but I'm just curious on your thoughts
@MoviesSueАй бұрын
I have 3 credit cards that are physical media debt. Not all worth it.
@belladonnaphotography2160Ай бұрын
Best way to eliminate your date is to pay your minimum payment on all cards except the smallest one. Throw as much money as you can at the smallest debt til it’s paid off then move on to the next smallest and so on
@MoviesSueАй бұрын
Yes, that's the plan!
@michaeldietz2648Ай бұрын

We all can learn from her or She can learn from some people here. Never use a credit card unless you have already made a payment to the credit card before the purchase.
@TherazorschannelАй бұрын
In a way you’re lucky you don’t own a home or have kids. Then you would be even more underwater than you are now. You need to find a way to pay $250 per week for two years just so you can move on with your life and start over financially. That’s of course if you don’t acquire new debt in the future.
@jkong00Ай бұрын
No judgement but I do have to say that the comment about just making the minimum payment is enough is incorrect. You’re losing out to interest if you’re only paying the minimum and you will actually owe more.
@MoviesSueАй бұрын
I said if you're making more than the minimum payment.

Two weeks is rather quick to do an debt "update" video; don't you think? You are going to be hacking away at this debt for years and years. Making this video makes it seem like you either think this is a joke or really have no reality of how bad your debt actually is.
