Yes. House ownership has its up and downs. The first two years were pretty stressful. Had insect problems. Water pipe broke during winter flooded basement. 😢🤬. Had to reinsulate attic cuz my house was extremely hot in summer and cold in winter. Ugh. Lots of money spent. Thank God I had an emergency fund and sinking funds!!!

I never thought about thinking about how much more the hybrid cost is vs gas you would purchase. The other issue with hybrids is often you don't get as good of gas mileage as they say based on how you drive and traffic patterns.

Make sure to check the VIN for recalls as they have a “park outside” recall due to fires starting due to the front seat motor.

hahaha I know! The grass seed was a major disappointment. I'm glad the Telluride got good reviews from Car & Driver! So far, it's been a luxury to drive it around town.

It takes at least a year to figure out all the quirks in a house and fix all the things the previous homeowner let go. Eventually things will calm down.

The dealership was very dismissive once we actually got to the purchasing part of the process. We told them we were paying cash yet they ran financing through our bank which created confusion around where the title was supposed to be sent. We did a trade-in and waited hours for them to process the trade-in and give us keys to the Subaru. The sales manager dismissed how long we had been waiting, so I reported them to the BBB. That got their attention. I was offered a $300 credit to their services team. Overall, the process could be streamlined to be more efficient and reduce wait times. CarMax does a way better job at this!
