Bravo! The old school does not exist... But, but, when you sing with the old school technique. everyone says you are very loud... When you sing with a new "technique". You can't hear yourself in the auditorium over the orchestra... Gentlemen, Giancarlo says it well! Wake up!!!!

Absolutely! The Old School of Singing does indeed exist, and I’m proud to carry on its traditions and pass them down to my students. My mission is to bring it back to the forefront and keep it alive, ensuring that the powerful and resonant techniques of the past are preserved for future generations of singers. Thank you for your recognition and support!

Indeed! If Del Monaco were singing today, his powerful voice would certainly make an unforgettable impact. His technique was a shining example of what the Old School of Singing represents, strength, resonance, and mastery of the voice. That level of artistry is what we continue to aim for, and it’s what we strive to preserve and pass on to future singers. Thank you for recognizing the importance of such legends!

Hi there.Your video is great, I got a question for you vocal technique. I can see you sing opera really good. So can you sing other styles of songs with this singing technique, like pop songs or rock.
@giancarlomonsalve7 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question! Yes, I can absolutely apply this technique to other styles like pop or rock. A few of my students primarily sing rock, and we adjust the techniques accordingly. For example, they keep the diaphragmatic support and throat expansion but modify the larynx position to create a higher, more pharyngeal sound suited to those styles. It brings great results across genres!

I didn’t see much debunking here? But I agree these aren't helpful ideas

Wait a minute... Gianluca Terranova says vowels should be formed in the larynx, where the vocal fry is - similar to ventriloquists way. Is he bad singer or teacher🤔?
@giancarlomonsalve3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! It’s important to address these misconceptions clearly. The idea that vowels should be formed in the larynx is fundamentally flawed. Here’s why: 1. Anatomy and Physiology: The larynx is responsible for sound production by vibrating the vocal cords as air passes through. However, the shaping of vowels and other sounds involves the articulators: the tongue, lips, palate, and the resonance spaces of the mouth and throat. This is a basic principle of vocal science and speech pathology. 2. Vocal Fry and Ventriloquism: Vocal fry is a low, creaky voice quality produced by a loose glottal closure, which is not suitable for healthy singing. Ventriloquists minimize visible mouth movements to create the illusion that the voice is coming from elsewhere, which is entirely different from singing, where clear and precise articulation is necessary. 3. Effective Vocal Techniques: Renowned singers and voice teachers throughout history, such as Pavarotti and Montserrat Caballé, have emphasized the importance of breath support, resonance, and proper use of the articulators. These techniques are based on the natural functions of the human voice and have been proven effective over centuries. 4. Potential Harm: Encouraging singers to form vowels in the larynx can lead to tension and strain, potentially causing vocal damage. Proper vowel formation involves a balance of all the vocal tract components, ensuring a healthy and sustainable singing technique. Promoting this kind of technique can mislead and harm students. It’s essential to rely on scientifically supported methods and the wisdom of experienced, reputable vocal coaches. I hope this clears up any confusion. Feel free to ask more questions or share your thoughts! Stay safe and keep singing healthily!

What tarranova does, is putting a pen in the mouth..others take a whine cork, or they fix their tongue between the last teeth..I think think that then the downer part of the tongue is activated more, and this is what is trained.. cause yeah you really can't sing vowels without palate, tongue..however I think experimenting with these obstacles can help You to overcome overarticulation with mouth and jaw and help to really support on the diaphragm while being more independent from your articulators. I find the vocal fry also a good check for not pushing to much air..and stay calm in the the larynx .. I think in the end we all have to experiment and learn as many colours as possible..be flexible and master every aspect of voice in a healthy balanced manner..only then you will find your balance..
