One problem with apologists is the time competent people take to debunk them, its such a waste of valuable time.

Great video. We do indeed need to call people like this unqualified charlatan (in Paleontology at least) Tim Clarey. Why do Creationists lie so much? Money?

I was curious about Timothy L. Clarey being a Ph.D. geologist - so I immediately went to Google Scholar and did a search on his name. I found something quite interesting. The geological research that he has published in the professional geology literature is CONSISTENT with geological science. In other words, in his professional research, his research is consistent with the geological antiquity of the earth. But then he has a whole different set of articles published by young earth creationist organizations (all of which are fundamentalist Christian organizations), and in all of the stuff he writes there, that is not professional geology research, he writes young earth creationism pseudoscience propaganda trying to pretend that all of professional geology is bad, and promoting his belief that the earth has only been in existence for around 6,000 years. Which makes Clarey just another of the young earth creationists with Ph.D.'s in science who literally used their credential to pretend that the religious doctrine of young earth creationism is "scientific" because some guys who are scientists believe in that religious doctrine - which argument they're using while in reality they've never published any actual scientific research in any professional science journal supporting young earth creationism. In this case, it's Timothy Clarey who has never published any scientific research in any professional geology journal supporting young earth creationism, while young earth creationists are claiming that their religious doctrine of young earth creationism is "scientific" because Timothy Clarey has a Ph.D. in geology. Which, of course, is just another example of the routinely disingenuous nature of young earth creationist rhetoric.

Decaturville and Weaublau Crater from the late Paleozoic in Missouri, also HazelGreen, Crooked Creek and Avon impact sites in Missouri (I don't know what period). Also Hicks Dome, Hasswell Hole, Gunnison Crater. And all of these are in line for some reason Is he arguing against meteoroids overall or just the K-T (K-Pg) extinction?

Just the K/Pg impact though some it is hard for the average young earth creationsit to fit in the flood modle with all the impact craters we have.

Wow! That’s a comprehensive response. Fascinating too. Thank you! Now I can’t wait for part two

The evidence is right in front of us! Clarey is just choosing not to look at what he disagrees with.

Imo evolution and creation are not mutually exclusive. God could have easily created life via evolution. In fact, it is the much cooler way then just making life just appear into existence.

Their interest isn't in reconciling their faith with well substantiated science, it's with undermining the science to raise up their particular literal reading of the bible. The goal is power, not truth.

@@exhumus That ICR is interested in power, not truth, is laughable. I was personally acquainted with the founder, Dr. Henry Morris, who drove an old Buick, wore rather worn suits and was a most unassuming man, but had great wisdom. He spoke once at our small church, and there was a collection for ICR, not him personally, but he did have some of his books with him. I helped at his table after the service, where some of the congregation did purchase a book, and helped him carry his things to his car, that old Buick. When he thanked me for the help, he seemed surprised that I would do that. Not the kind of man who was interested in power. Or, I might add, wealth. You might be surprised at how many people there are who, like me, have had twelve years of education in Evolution who later embraced the literacy of the Bible's account of origins. @ tuckerjones4800, I encourage you to further study the mutuality of Evolution and Creation.

Visiting the KPg boundary seems so cool! I have no background in geology nor do i know anyone personally who does so i dunno where i could go to look for stuff like that near me. Imma go read more about the Chesapeake impactor now... like why didn't that cause an extinction
