I feel so bad for Ann.. She started making content back when KZbin had a much more fair, creator-favouring system. Now she is having to fight against non-sense channels just to get a fraction of the views she once did, and make KZbin worth her time. She is one of the few on here that have stuck around simply for their love and passion of this craft, and I hope we can all appreciate that.

13:56 The Greek yoghurt bread is very similar in texture to a Native American Bred known as bannock. It’s made with Flour, Lard, baking powder, and butter. Usually more ingredients are incorporated but when baked in the oven it doesn’t rise or create air bubbles as it’s a bread without Yeast or any rising agent. It can be fried or baked I like mine cooked by a slow fire with oil or baking beside on rocks. It can go well with many things, it can be like fresh bread very nice when warmed perfectly, you can eat it with butter alone or have it with Chili or soup. Have hot hamburger on it. Eat it with a spread such as fresh Berry jam (my favourite!). Just cooked the berries on a slow fire or oven and add sugar. Very light and delicate flavour and super easy to make. Bannock Recipe: There’s no real measurements -1 cup Lard -2 1/2 Cups flour -1/2-1 teaspoons of Baking powder -1-1/2 cup water (for fried bannock) -Oil (for fried bannock) Directions: For oven baked bannock preheat oven to 375 degrees Celsius. In a bowl add you flour, create a pocket like bowl on the flour. In the flour bowl add your lard, Baking powder and incorporate it with hands. Then add your Water. And add water till it becomes a pastry dough like texture. For fried bannock Set your stovetop to Medium heat and add oil let oil simmer for 5 minutes then put in your bannock cut into a triangle or square with 3 slits that go through the bannock. Leave it for 5-10 minutes in each side. Then enjoy fried bannock! For the Baked bannock put it out on a baking tray meant for cookies and poke your fork along it. Then leave it to cook for 45-1 hour. Then enjoy fried bannock Berry Recipe!: -1 Cup Berries (Blackberries, Blueberries etc) -1/4 Cup water -1/4 Cup Sugar Directions: Put your oven to medium heat and put your berries on. Let them sit until they begin to form a juice. Which takes about 5-10 minutes. Then add your water and let simmer until a jam kind of texture. Then add sugar mix and serve warm on warm bannock. Like this so Ann can see this and make it!

Epic Er, it’s not powdered milk, as you can clearly see in the video. And you can actually make a caramel-like substance by simmering an unopened can of sweetened condensed milk for maybe an hour or two in a pan of water. Presumably, the result is a lot like Ann’s zap-and-stir method.
@beeble20034 жыл бұрын
@Gabriel Klenner Almost everything I see described as "caramel" has some kind of milk product (either cream or butter) in it. So I dispute your claim that "real caramel" is see-through.

@Gabriel Klenner In English, the word "caramel" refers to both preparations. It's simply wrong to claim that one of them is "real" and the other isn't: the word "caramel" means both of them.

As a breadmaker's daughter: who on earth would even think that bread recipe would work? I'd love to go to one of these channel's meetings and find out how they come up with half of this. "We need to make a video before sundown! Quickly, raid the pantry! Yogurt? Flour? We could pass this off as a bread recipe, right?" Just the thought of how this recipe came to be makes me chuckle.
@slhense684 жыл бұрын
Sentret Sparkle I am a baker, and I think they were running away with the quick pizza crust people like to make with Greek yogurt and self rising flour. Putting it through the food processor develops the gluten, the self rising flour helps with a little rise, and the yogurt provides moisture and a fermented flavor from the sourness. So that makes an okay quick pizza crust. But loaf of bread? I would never.
@putria.l.r50444 жыл бұрын
I'm just average cook,honestly they just makes all that recipe for entertainment and content...that yogurt and flour could just be a crust or something, definitely not bread...how the hell a bread so dense? 😂😫

I know the same recipe is uses for gozleme, which is much thinner than a loaf of bread. It would also be using self raising flour or baking powder.
@Jomama024 жыл бұрын
I am not a Baker at all. I hate baking but will occasionally try something just to see if I could. This would of been one that I would have tried thinking the Greek yogurt would do something to it to rise. Easy peanut butter recipe : 1 cup flour, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, and 1 cup suger, put is in small balls in your baking trey and make line with the fork and put it in the oven, 170c until it turns slightly brown . Me and my mom always make this and it is so GOOD, you have to try it !

I had no idea that those were fake click bait videos until I came across this woman here. Unsubscribed all those nasties. Feel kinda cheated but thank goodness i came to know about it at least now, thanks to this golden lady 🙏

so unfair and disrespectfull of them to just copy YOUR recipe without saying where they got it from.

I think the issue is more they copied her video, shot for shot, instead of stealing the recipe for the sugar glass and balloon. It's still awful and should be flagged

Although, to be fair, the almond cookies did look exactly like the ones in the "5 minute craft". Unfortunately, we don't eat with our eyes alone, so the unsweetened cookies would have been at least "a bit dsaippointing" to eat. Poor Dave.

I randomly got one of the debunking videos suggested on my front page and now I cannot keep watching them! I love that I am learning so much about food/cooking/baking, so that with each video I get better at predicting what the reason is why a "hack" or recipe won't work. Understanding more about how the specific ingredients contribute to a recipe also helps me get more creative and competent in the kitchen, for example when I want to adapt a recipe for different dietary requirements or flavor preferences. :)
