I believe the Pig Theory. It would be symbolic to have Eren be the reincarnation of the pig, because poetically, it shows that Ymir's kindness came back to her eventually. Also, for the funny, I imagine Eren's spirit took the saying "when pigs fly" literally, as he reincarnated as a bird 😂

I’m still having a hard time believing that AoT is set in the 9th century when everything looks like it was set in the 1940’s. I would believe the theory that the series is really set in those times and that everyone in Paradis thinks it’s the 9th century because they have been living there for 800 years.

Here's a theory. What if there are secretly other titans that just don't get involved? like... They could easily just live in an uninhabited part of the world and blend in with humanity. The only reason Ymir even GOT the power of the titans to begin with, is because one of em slipped up and died in the tree Ymir fell into, causing only the powers to remain. (That and his soul) and then he bonded with Ymir out of pity or something.

This smells like a new spin-off series! They’d only have 13 years to live though and without titan serum they can’t pass it on (I think). As the anime ending draws closer, I’m thinking of making a theory where this story is cyclical; how Eren inside the tree will “choose” someone knew to give the power of the titans to in the future

Debunking? Theres barely any debunking here at all. Just a bunch of half plausible theories. 6 is very likely (the first half, not the second.) 8 is purely a plot hole though. If the language is actually totally different, then theres no way that all the Marlean's that end up coming over could suddenly speak the language fluently. Gabi even comments on Papa Blouse having a "Southern Marlean" accent, suggesting that even the accents of those outside the cities probably haven't changed that much.

Wanted to keep a lighter, more open approach on some of the theories. Would you prefer me roast them harder next time? Yeah, other people theorize that Marley had multiple languages and one of the minor ones was then adapted in paradis which could also explain the situation

@@bumperjumper I actually enjoyed the video, I just felt it was mis-sold. Cut the Debunking from the title and make it Wildest rather then Ridiculous and it would feel more true to what the video is. I've actually been thinking more about the language thing since writing that and basically worked out that its probably likely that Marley had a language and there was a general Eldian language too. Eldian's living in Marley would obviously be fluent in both, in the same way that children of immigrants are totally fluent in thier "home" language plus the country they are living in. The stretch would be non-Eldians in the military. The official language would certainly be Marlean and most of the Marlean soldiers wouldn't lower themselves to learn Eldian. However, I could see Magarth learning it due his close working with the warrior candidates (And also from a, wanting to know what they are talking about at all times point of view), so his ability to freely talk to the people on Paradis is fine. I do think some of the guys that came over with Yelena would probably be not super fluent with it (Again, Yelena i buy being 100% fluent due to personal interest but some of them I doubt would be able to speak to a level where it wouldn't be noticable). Obviously, we can assume that Marlean spoken to someone understanding Marlean, and Eldian spoken to someone speaking Eldian, is always shown as Japanese (Or English or whatever sub/dubs/translations you are using). Its only when a language is being spoken that is clearly not understood by the PoV character that it is shown as being something different. So I don't actually think its a MASSIVE plot hole anymore, just more... something that wasn't actually important enough to the story to mention, since the only real issues would be occasional lack of fluency.

3:38 yea no his manipulation doesn’t work like that he can only manipulate his predecessors(in theory) and the only reason he was able to was thanks to zeke showing him visions of moments thought out his life and grishas life but since he can’t interact with his dad or anyone else in those visions Eren did whats called a pro gamer move. Basically when eren told his dad to take the founding titan he let him see the future memory of him viewing the events of the chapel with zeke allowing grisha too see what ever eren is looking at and also know what eren is saying to him through erens memories that’s how he saw zeke also since eren was looking in zeke’s direction grisha was able to realize zeke was standing infornt of him and also understand what zeke was saying through erens memories (basically he saw zeke and himself through Erens eyes and memories not his own). Edit:I’am not really not the best explainer so I’m sorry if you can’t understand my rambling Edit: that’s also why after he kills the Reis family he kneels on floor yelling to eren looking at the sky instead of at eren because he can’t see eren since again he only sees erens memories in first person

Theory 1: Their cut off body parts would just vaporize. Theory 2: Whaaa Theory 3: Honestly not bad but I’m pretty sure you would still age. great video!! one thing that you got wrong tho. Ymir understanding out to read marleys language is not a plot hole at all. The show kind of does a less than stellar explanation, but my understanding is Ymir from a young age was a orphan who lived in marley until she was "adopted" by eldian restorationists who formed their own (cult)deliniation almost like the branch dividians in waco texas (all this to say i have no reason to believe Erens dad was a part of this cult) the eldian restorationist cult, made Ymir the spearhead of said cult, thats why you see flashbacks of her being worshipped in the show. *Ymir sharing the same name as the founder is no coincidence, she was given by the cult bc they worshipped the founder and created a false prohpet of sorts, that is until the Marleyan police unearthed the cult and sent everyone to paradis. thats exactly how she was turned intro a pure titan and gained the opportunity to eat marcel and become a titan shifter, and enter the walls. Ymir understanding english is not a plot hole in anyway i hope this clears things up for alot of ppl bc a basic understanding of her past is required to be able to make any sense of the character arc she takes throughout the show. good job on the video otherwisae keep up the great work

Just rewatched it, and the titans remind me of hollows from dark souls it’s like they lost everything and turned into giants which I hardly doubt but it’s still a theory so what I’m thinking is these “giants” were people that also experienced the rumbling from a different time line that’s why there so many of them, and it could be just the flesh of dead people But also another thing I would like to point out the titans also seem to be very weak they can die from cannons yes you have to hit a spot on there neck but is still weak that’s why they remind me of hollows there strong yet very weak when you come to think of it And the setting of it as In; there is barley any happiness and the world as they know it will soon be ruin, that’s why I compare these two by setting And then you can also compare eren to the chosen undead or ashen one they lost everything now there fighting to keep the world alive But when eren turned, it was also like the age of dark where he says “what humanity do we have left?” And ends it by leaving the fire to burn

Also attack on titan was also inspired by norse mythology from the head ymir the very first giant in Norse mythology and Norse mythology, especially the uncanny White Walkers, the weirwood trees, Blood Raven and Bran Stark. And the White Walkers are like the Frost Giants. the weirwood trees share much in common with Yggrasill or the tree of life. And the same way the two birds fly at the beginning of the show it’s almost like hugin and munin which translates to memory and thought and the way aren looks over the birds is almost like Odin looking over his ravens and even the big wall from aot is almost like what Odin built to keep the giants from entering the great palace And the tree with the girl and man under it is probably a reference from the ash tree we’re the first humans emerged in Norse myth Hell! Even the damn episode screem is probably also backed up by ymir the screemer maybe that’s how he activated his titan powers my theory is that this is like Norse mythology just a version and the fates when ymir was slain by the gods the fates change the whole world also the snake like creature that the girl met is also kinda like nidhog from Norse myth Also another fact the end of the series when the titans attack the Great Wall is also like from Norse myth where the fall of the gods in Norse myth And the half giants is a reference from the characters in aot which has the power of the titans (; hope that gets some where!
