That could be a nice way to imagine it, and honestly complete genius. But I believe the whole aim of the ending is to say that humanity will always be the same and repeat endless vicious cycles. A bittersweet ending instead of the usual expected happy ending.

Some people might disagree with me, but this was a terrible ending for the show. It would have been much better if Mikasa killed Eren, and it ends with him waking up from his dream in season 1 episode 1. Eren would have all of his memories from his previous life, and would be given another chance to correct things.

cyberpsychosis has nothing to do with mental illness, its a build up of metals in the body and the damage done to the brain by cyberware that goes beyond what the body can handle. like the one that slows down time cause those signals to jam the nervous system as the nerves can not processes the delayed signals all hitting so fast

who's that between Eren titan toe?

I think Eren sending the message back makes more sense. With all the craziness that occurred in that world before the start of the story, we have to believe that Ymir had plenty of opportunity to send back messages that would have convinced her old self not to take the spear. Interesting theory either way.

There's a bit more to it. There's a lot of evidence to suggest people don't just "think" with their brains but with their entire nervous system. 90% of it does happen in the brain but the rest of the body has a huge impact on thought. The more chrome you shove in someone the more nerves you're scooping out or cutting off from each other. The more of those sensations and senses and perceptions you're replacing with alternatives that are not *quite* the same as what is naturally in the body. While this is overall a very small change in terms of the overall impact on the body and humans are good at adapting it's important to remember that taking away evolutionary fundamentals really messes with people. It's why astronauts on the space station develop paranoia and other mental illnesses. Because Planet Earth literally has vibrations that our bodies are so used to that being without them causes severe mental distress. With proper care, therapy (and medicine) the above can be overcome. However when you combine tons of cyberware with a huge amount of exterior stress it will no doubt amplify the problem. And, yes. There are plenty of high functioning or brainwashed cyberpsychos out there. They are absolutely not cured though. Interestingly, a similar system exists in Shadowrun and its called Essence instead of Humanity. You lose essence when you lose limbs or take massive physical damage and you can regain essence by replacing the lost limbs or damage with high quality bioware replacements grown from your own genetic material. It's something like losing parts of your body disrupts the way your body's soul and energy flows through it. Hence why casters generally don't get cyberwear.

the attack titan cannot send memories to the past or future. Eren can do that because he was in the paths with Zeke. with the combination of the two of them Eren specifically used the power of the paths to send memories and vision to the past. it isnt inherently a thing attack titans can do.

I hope that David is dead. He ended up mostly made out of chrome, he was living off of 9 times the recommended dose of military grade immune supresants. If he survived, he would would have ended up as a cyberphsyco anyway because his brain was way too scrambled by the time Smasher fought him. The exo skeleton was basically destroying his brain rapidly. I really hope that David took that bullet to the head. He earned respect from night city, and even Smasher respected him for a moment. He gave Falco and Lucy a chance to live normally. He went down as a successful person in his own eyes. This is a good ending for him, but not so much for Lucy

The idea of Eren's head retaining the Titan shifter marks more likely means to me that his body died before the power of the Titans was removed from the world. So his body remained in the same state as it had been in at the moment of his death while his counterpart Titan shifters had a chance to revert back to normal human form because their bodies were freed from the curse of Ymir.

What I don't like or get is how the show depicts immunosuppressants as an antipsychotic, as if that makes any sense. Suppressing the immune system only acts to keep the meat from rejecting the metal implants and going into shock, they have no impact on the mind or any mental health impacts at all, yet they act like an immediate cure/repellant for psychosis? Why? They could have just as easily called it something else and made it an actual antipsychotic and it would have been fine but they didn't.

I've had this theory that those who have strong personalities do better when warding off cyberpsychosis. I remember V commenting that the personality changes were going both ways, silverhand replies with, " Nah, no way", reaffirming his sense of genuine individuality, and that his personality was so strong that he wouldn't change despite the circumstances. it's also said that SH is a cyberpsycho, but a functioning one. he seems to have a strong sense of what he's about, morale compass, his psychosis is guided/funneled by his anti-corpo rockerboy samurai ethics *vomit*.

All you need to know the future cannot be change in AOT just like the author conclusions.... and ending it with a love based concept just made it even worse IMO cause it has no hint from the beginning. I'll remember it as one of the best series with a confusing ending. Get over it and move on.
