I have never thought that a digital keyboard could offer so much flexibility and artistic potential! I had it for 7 months already and it has never disappointed me. Not even once. Hope you have enjoyed my performance of Arabesque No. 1 by Claude Debussy! :)

This keyboard Kawai MP11SE uses the Shigeru Kawai grand piano sound sample and real hammer action/100% real wooden keys that respond like an acoustic piano.
I totally recommend it if you are a classical pianist! You can basically do any type of articulation on this keyboard. After spending a whole day at Sweetwater Music in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and trying all 30 digital keyboards available, I was so happy with this choice!
My expectations were extremely high since I was searching for the most realistic piano sound and the best keyboard feel that would be as close as possible to a grand piano.
I was not satisfied with the Nord Grand digital keyboard and Korg Grandstage 88 because both of them have plastic keybeds. They are meant to be lighter, more portable, and don't feel robust like this one. The piano sound seems a bit artificial too, it lacks the warm crystalline sound that Kawai has.
Even though Roland RD-2000 has hybrid wooden keys, they don't even come close to the experience of playing on this digital piano. Hope this helps!
Does anyone have Kawai CA99? I've heard that the keyboard action feels great too!

I love my MP11SE. I recently got a NORD Piano 5 and like it a lot too. But the Kawai cannot be beat for real piano keyboard feel. It is the gold standard. The piano tones are top go the food chain too.

Sounds awesome what you tell in the description about your epiano!! I love the kawai sounds so thats extremely nice!! I myself play on a Yamaha cvp 705 and it offers me to play like on a Yamaha flagship acoustic piano or Bösendorfer!! It has the same features with wooden keys etc like yours. And it has kind of as it's cvp the workstation like I was used to with my Yamaha Tyros before in it even if I only barely use that to play around I didn't want to miss it after giving away my Tyros

I have a Roland FP90X with the PHA-50 action. I am definitely not in love with it. I don’t know if it’s the counter weight or the way it interacts with the three way sensor. But it feels sluggish and when you bottom out the key it’s almost slightly rubbery. It’s hard to play quietly. And it’s very, very different from the acoustic grands I have played. I’m considering making a very tough decision of selling the Roland and getting one of these instead.

have you since had a change to compare this to the GFIII action on something like a CA79/99/701/901? I am trying to decide between the MP11SE and the CA701 in 2024. The CA701 GFIII) is available for demo but not the MP11SE (GFI). I am wondering how much of an improvement there is in the GFIII vs the GFI in terms of actual play feel. I know the spec advantage is the 0.5cm longer keys and customized counterweights, but from that I'm not really sure what that translates to in the real world. I am currently ABRSM Grade 5 and hope this can take me to Grade 8.
