She might be the only famous person that would make me star struck if I met them. She's absolutely gorgeous and so talented.

With that voice and beauty I believe it when they say that every male involved with the Grand Ol Opry was in love with her.

Thank you for your kind words, I love this performance as well and it was a landmark performance as far as being the first female star from the Grand Ole Opry and "Music City"to solo on national television. April 23, 1952

Anita was the first in a few things. The first person in Nashville to have a full string session backing, part of the first all female group on the Opry, and this too

I love the way she rolled her eyes at 0:45 when the guitarist missed his riff. (Anita, my all time favorite country female voice!)

Also I find it interesting how she tries to hit her high and low notes. She lowers her chin on the low notes and raises it on the highs

Yep.,. And also her eye movement seems to show that she is totally concentrating on what she is doing. Why did I grow up not knowing about her?

@@tonylupo1764 I disagree, Totally Live music in the 50's.The guitar was most likely lower on stage, but the recorder closer to the guitar amplifier . I would love to know who he is. I can hear his influence in the greatRoy Buchanan's playing.. Back to Anita. ..She's a Heart Stopper ! Thanks 4 posting.
@tonylupo17643 жыл бұрын
The guitar was probably not as loud there , it was just too close to a stage microphone probably
