Great books, good luck. I have most of the Grand Tour books, and have decided to read through in a certain Chronological order by character, just finished the first three Powerstat, Privateers, Empire Builders. Now off to Mars (you loved) which I have had on my TBR for 20 years at least, LOL. By the way its Moonrise then Moonwar.

Crazy big haul! Good luck finding room for all of them. I’m like you and read all of the Jedi Apprentice series long long ago, but I never read any of the Jedi Quest books.

Tons of great pickups, Jonathan. I'm especially interested in your eventual thoughts on the Coruscant Nights trilogy, as I haven't really heard anyone else discuss it.

I HIGHLY recommend Star Wars: A Pirate's Price as an audiobook. Jim Cummings reads the entire book as Hondo Ohnaka. It made the book even more fun.

I think book hauls are my favorite videos. That Star Trek 4 book looked like it was in excellent condition too 👍

Love these vids!! Currently reading A Breath of Snow and Ashes (Outlander 6) by Diana Gabaldon. Listening to the seven sisters by Lucinda Riley, starting words of radiance eventually as well

I got the #0 Jedi Quest novel when it came out when I was a kid and loved it. I believe it was where Anakin makes his lightsaber after traveling to the cave to retrieve the crystals.

Great book haul. I purchased 29 books this month. I'm making a list for this year and I'm wondering if the book Bygone by Morgan Shank is a standalone or the beginning of a new trilogy? Keep up the good work. Are you going to have discussions with members about books? Maybe in the future. I would like to talk about books with people who've read the same books as myself. I know you're busy i'm just wondering. Or is there somewhere online I could go.
@jonathankoanАй бұрын
Bygone is a standalone, but I don’t recommend reading it. I do recommend “The High Country” by Morgan, and it could be read as a stand-alone and is also the start of a series. I am currently working out how memberships are working. For now, Contributor memberships are getting exclusive weekly update videos and all channel members are getting Polls and Input. I might do some Q&A’s with channel members or maybe a discord server in the future, I’m not sure.

The Small hardcovers you mention are book club editions. There are many books (including several Star Trek titles) where the only hardcover is a club version. The Science Fiction Book Club also produced many exclusive omnibus collections (again, including Star Trek).
@jonathankoanАй бұрын
But most book club editions I’ve seen at used bookstores say “Book Club Edition” on them, but the ones I own don’t say that. 🤷♂️
@dansmith3085Ай бұрын
@@jonathankoan yeah, they abandoned that at some point. Best indicators are the smaller size (but not always), a flat cover where the original version would be embossed, and a small white box on the back cover with numbers in it. It may also be lighter because of the paper stock used. If you see Guild America as the publisher, that's a club edition. P. S. If you come across Barlowe's Guide To Extraterrestrials or Guide To Fantasy pick them up. I think you'll really like them.

What your thought on the new covers for the star wars legends books? Did you own any of the new covers? What the difference between the old covers and the new covers?
@jonathankoanАй бұрын
I think they’re fine covers. I usually prefer the original ones, but the new ones are ok. I collect the OG books, mostly because I’d already bought 70% of the EU when the Essential Legends collection started.

Do you sell on eBay?I'm amsuming you have to purge some of your collection
@jonathankoanАй бұрын
@@patrickt6642 not really. I get rid of maybe a few books a year. Mostly I just keep adding to it. I have a dedicated room just for books (don’t really collect other things)
@patrickt6642Ай бұрын
@jonathankoan I collect dvds and books so because of limited space have to purge collection.Have to say you have impressive collection.
