I would never give up on you! Have missed you but I truly can understand how life takes a turn and priorities shift. You have some lovely ink choices this month. About half of my pens are inked with shimmer but I only have 5 inked this month, so that's not saying much. 🤣 Have a great week my friend.

Lovely line up for December. Shimmer inks, I’ll put into also any of my pens. A few I won’t, Nakaya and a few others. The weather has been something else! We were lucky no damage on our home, neighbors had some. Now it’s very cold (I’m in Florida), lows in the 30s. The alligators won’t be happy! Hope all is well!

@ when the hurricanes (tropical storms for us), Helene dumped 14” in 10 hours, the next one was only 6” and Milton was 70+ mph winds only a few inches of rain. I’ll probably lose a lot of fruit, of course all 3 banana plants fruited. Oh well. Hope your weather is nice. We’re in our dry season.

@@robbourne1950 hi Rob, how are you? Yes have a bit of a Twsbi Rainbow going, I don’t get them all, but I have 12 Twsbi Eco’s I think. The Cross Wanderlust is a gorgeous pen, writes incredibly well. It’s actually the first Cross pen I have written with so don’t have a lot of experience with them. Do you know much about them?

@ Ohh yes Jayne I used to carry a Cross ball point pen and my pocket planner way back in the 80’s . Those were the days when 1 pen and 1 planner were enough. I am not sure what happened to me now, with 6 planners and 125 pens, but you know “crack is cheap.” 😂 I have a Cross ATX Sandblasted but it writes more like a ballpoint pen. And I need a watery skating on ice pen. So I am just taking notes on what other Cross pens might be good ones to look at. 💜

Thanks for showing us your currently inked pens for December, all that shimmer! Well done. I'll be interested in how the pens handle the shimmer ink. I have an Opus 88 with a broad nib that I'm cleaning out because it can't handle the shimmer ink I have in it at the moment. Day one of Inkvent 2024. "Baltic Breeze", a shimmer ink to start with, I wonder how many more shimmer inks?

wonderful pile of ink 😍 I love shimmer inks & plain/shading, the only kind I'm not keen on are heavy sheeners. Do you know if that Montblanc Jane Austen ink is coming back into stock anywhere ever ? ☺ I can't find it & I have all the Wearingeul ones & the green Jane Austen (Deatramentis? Dominant INdustry?) so yeah I need the umber one too 🤩 Weather .. grrr. It is SO HOT way too early in summer, is it there?? It's been late 30s here the past few weeks. x

I love your choices! I like both this year and last year’s inkvent(the only ones I have done. Just an FYI, if you ever need to take apart a piston filled Leonardo, the Asvine wrench works with them and is a lot cheaper.

@ I liked a lot of inks this year, including Forest Gateau(one of the scented ones that actually behaved), but my favorite is probably Salted Caramel.

I've missed you! I love your line up for the month. Here red and green are very much December/Christmas colours, is that the same in Australia? I had inked a pen with Bucks Fizz but the shimmer was making it clog, so I added some Cardinal (a red from the previous year's Inkvent) and it made a lovely colour!

I have not yet found a pen that can handle shimmers well. I’ve never tried my esties but that will be next on my list. I actually prefer sheening inks but I think I’m in the minority on that!

@@ceevee963 hi there, I think sometimes it depends on the nib size as well. I don’t tend to put shimmer inks in extra-fine or fine, mainly medium, broads and stub nibs. What fountain pens have you tried with shimmer inks?
