I loved the intro showing how Sienna made her outfit. My wife would scrub through that scene while making a last-minute cosplay for a horror convention where the main guests were from both movies. The director and a cast member even took a picture to send to Lauren LaVera.

If you feel it is not for you, it probably isn´t - "fans" give a huge pass for anything that has gore. It is too long and overcome its welcoming. The main girl and Art are terrific, the acting of most others are not, specially the brother and the mother. It tries to be as mean spirited as possible, so if you don´t feel like a joke, it will be disturbing.
@bigkmoviesandgames
@bigkmoviesandgames Жыл бұрын
@@YuzuruAyeah that's kind of the problem that I have with it. It just seems like edginess for the sake of edginess. And I'm definitely not against Gore especially if it's done in an interesting way such as in the thing or an American werewolf in London for example. And I do like me a good slasher but this one is over 2 hours loaded with extreme Gore for the sake of it. I just don't think it's my kind of horror movie. Subtlety goes a long way and that's why slashers such as Halloween are remembered fondly despite having relatively tame violence in them.

Fun thing is the movie is banned in Germany, but a law loophole allowed the film to release uncut on streaming. You could even buy it uncut for some time digital while all others versions vanished. And the digital version when bought stays in the library uncut and all. Funny. Art would love it.

The amount of money wasted on big studio films is nauseating. That’s why when you see something like Rings of Power it becomes so obvious that there was a lot of skimming off that budget. If you have a strong, non-union crew and you have your film written and storyboarded in advance and have minimal producer interference, you can make some amazing movies these days with the high quality of consumer grade cameras and editing software these days.

I gave it a good swing and it just shaved a piece off and came out the side, barely even slowed it down and it smashed me right in the shin. I was wearing jeans but it still cut me and I'm sure partially fractured the bone, but before I made a sound I noticed my dad nearby me didn't notice it happened, so I just repressed the urge to cry out in agony and hobbled away to check the damage lol.

I didn't expect to love Terrifier when I first heard about it. I took a chance on it at a horror convention when Damien was there selling it on Bluray; kind wish I got it signed back then, but oh well...20/20. I became enamored with the film and felt that Art, in his short time, had risen to being a horror icon within the ranks of Fred, Mike, Jayce, and the Face...of leather. So when Terririfer 2 came around, I straight up gave to the kick starter. I saw it in the theater upon release and...just...wow. I thought it was going to be hard to top the first one, in terms of gore...but uh...I was so wrong. So, so wrong. If I was going to nit-pick anything, it would be that the released story synopsis does not at all match the contents of the movie. I don't know if the synopsis was going to be the original story treatment and the Pandemic sort of scrapped that, or...if it was a publicist's mistake. "After being resurrected by a sinister entity" That was not at all established in the film. I also don't buy that Art was human in Terrifier. He received plenty of damage that would have incapacitated even the strongest human. He resurrected at the end of Terrifier and was not at all surprised. In fact, his suicide seemed to be by design as the best way to escape being arrested and locked up. It was never suggested that Art could some how be summoned. My take on it is, the Pale Girl took a liking to him, mimicked him and decided to use him for her purposes; which seemed to revolve around creating another entity like her.

The original wings would have been way too wide for that crowded party Sienna would have been slapping people in the face all night and having a tough time going threw halls and doors.

Recently, checked it out and it was pretty great, cared for the main cast a lot more than 1, build up of Art was better and the violence was more of the same. But that bed scene though. It went so unbelievably overboard it became comcial.

Yeah I don't really think the writers intent was for it to be super serious.

Great review as always, Decker. And with summer fast approaching, I hope you’ve put some thought into your next Summer Spectacular. My suggestion? “THE SUMMER . . . OF BRUCE . . . AND BRANDON . . . LEEEE!!!!” Week #1) A crossover between you and That Long Haired Creepy Guy reviewing the Green Hornet TV series, including the Green Hornet/Batman crossover episodes. (Wednesday, June 21, 2023) Week #2) Kung Fu: The Movie (Brandon Lee’s acting debut) (Wednesday, June 28, 2023) Week #3) The Big Boss (aka Fists Of Fury) (Wednesday, July 5, 2023) Week #4) Legacy Of Rage (Wednesday, July 12, 2023) Week #5) Fist Of Fury (aka The Chinese Connection) (Wednesday, July 19, 2023) Week #6) Laser Mission (Wednesday, July 26, 2023) Week #7) Way Of The Dragon (aka Return Of The Dragon) (Wednesday, August 2, 2023) Week #8) Rapid Fire (Wednesday, August 9, 2023) Week #9) Enter The Dragon (Wednesday, August 16, 2023) Week #10) Showdown In Little Tokyo (Wednesday, August 23, 2023) Week #11) The Game Of Death (Wednesday, August 30, 2023) Week #12) The Crow (Wednesday, September 6, 2023) (If you feel you have to squeeze in one more movie into this Summer Of Bruce And Brandon Lee, you can cap it off with “Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story” which clearly doesn’t star Bruce or Brandon Lee, but can at least be seen as being “Bruce Lee adjacent”.) (Wednesday, September 13, 2023) All together, father and son have made just enough films and television shows for you to review them once a week from Summer Solstice to Fall Equinox. And with the exception of “Game Of Death”, “Legacy of Rage” and “Laser Mission”, neither of them had ever made any truly bad films. With “Legacy of Rage” and “Laser Mission” Brandon at least had the excuse of having just started his acting career. And the only reason “Game Of Death” isn’t Bruce’s best work is because he died part way through filming and the movie was finished posthumously, which required a lot of reworking of the script, use of scenes from other Bruce Lee movies, camera tricks, look alikes, stunt doubles, creative costume choices, etc in order to get a movie as good as what we got.

Cool review. Yes, a few scenes are reminiscent to Dream Warriors, but I like that Art is pragmatic to e.g. use a shotgun when considered most effective. Something that were not sophisticated enough for the liking of a Freddy Krueger, even if it meant to lose a fight. Two more remarks: 1. I believed that Art was killing Sienna's mother first. Mother Barbara and girl-friend Allie could win a look-alike contest - quite confusing. 2. When Art is beating Sienna we cannot really see if it is a cat of nine tails or standard whip. They should have shown this instrument once in a calm moment for us to adore Art's DIY work. Important for other viewers who do not know part 1 yet. In Terrifier 1 we can see how Art is creating his cat of nine tails with cut off knife blades and many scissors. As far as I remember he did not use it back then and saved it for Sienna in Terrifier 2. If he did use it before just let me know.

I have a problem with the way this movie is colored because it really affects some of the kills and how convincing they look. I watched the behind the scenes for the gore parts and the blood effects look pretty real on set, but because this entire movie is color graded like a Tiktok edit (Blue and orange), it makes the blood look like ketchup or orange soda at times and it pulled me out of some of the kills. I'd love to see an edit where someone changes the orange blood back to red.
