I totally relate to the birthday thing. This year I told everyone to bring a book and sign the end and write my kids a note! It was amazing and my kids love picking the book “grandma gave them” and books are so much easier to manage and put away! 🤍

Wow this brings back so many memories of when my children were little, I did exactly what you are doing. This method worked for me as well. Believe it or not I do miss those days, my children aregrown adults with children of their own now. Adeline is getting so big, she's just adorable ❤😊

When it was birthday or Christmas i would let them pick one present to open afterwards. And put the rest up on a high shelf. And as they got bored with the first opened toy... months later I would donate that one and let them open a new one. And i would always get them to donate at least 5 things before birthday or christmas. It helped me so much! Of course everyone has different opinions and traditions 😊

Thank God my kids are grown. When they were small I use to tell them if you don’t pick up your toys they’re going into the trash. And they would pick up the ones they didn’t want they would say Go Ahead.

I love your videos! I am currently decluttering my entire house, sheds, and cars. Hoping to have the inside of the house done by spring so we can start on everything outside! You help me keep going even when it’s tough to get started! I just decluttered my daughters toys (5 years old) and she helped and she chose what to get rid of and she got rid of 3 garbage bags and still has so many but it’s easier to keep her room clean now!

i have the best suggestion for stuffed animals! my som is about to be 2 & we bought a bean bag chair with no filling so its just the cover and filled it with all of his stuffed animals and blankets he isnt using atm! it was such a awesome purchase & i highly recommend it! since its storage but they can also sit in them! they normally range $20 each

I like goals more than resolutions myself it’s more realistic to me also. 🎉 I have cleaned my kids toys, the same way you are and now I clean my granddaughters toys up the same way. I help clean at my home and their home. We have toys galore. The girls do pass to others as they grow out of certain toys. We teach that others have less and we can help.❤ I love how you set up a goal and jot it down and try to push and also but believe it’s there in place already that is terrific and of course you’re excited. My granddaughter just had her first baby in September. He is the most precious baby! She has requested everyone not give a lot of toys. She requested giving him money for his bank account. So I did get him a snail that lights up and a small giraffe he can hold. The rest is a 50.00 gift card to Target and $100.00 to his savings. I resisted the urge to buy all toys.

We just don’t have money to have that many toys. Our relatives are cheap too. 😂 what a blessing! Too many toy probs. I love it. My youngest children share a room and their room is a bedroom slash playroom. We do the rotate toy method. Lol Baby doll stuff in the attic along with blocks and build able things. They currently have all Barbie doll things, play kitchen things and vanity stuff out. I literally say no to everything as we shop. 😅 bc we don’t have the money.come holidays and b days we take it easy. Somehow it still feels like we have tons of things! It drives me crazy. I always manage to build a good will pile by the end of each month! I’m like how is this happening. We have 5 kids though. 😅

Let your kids play with all the toys they have, it will come the time when they will no longer want to play anymore and they will be grown and you are gonna miss the caos and the mess after a long day 😢 My girls are 23, 19 and 12 and now my house is always clean, their rooms are clean, the living room always in order, barely the kitchen because every one picked up after themself and I miss my babies, I miss the mess , I wish a can go back in time when the toys were all over the house. So my advise is that just enjoy every single day no matter the caos, the sick days, the tired days, just let them play and be around them! From the bottom of my heart! ❤

Does anyone have any tips, im 18 and ive been kind of taking care of my family home since i was 16. I cant seem to keep it clean and constantly struggle with motivation. The house is now a tip and ive only just started getting the slightest bit of help from others in the house. But i think i also struggle because i do it for all but only by dad appreciates it but my siblings dont. (Btw my dad is disabled so thats why i do the cleaning). Becky that is concert dusk your wiping up that looks dark gray or black it’s not sealed and it not good for you your baby’s to be in that breathing it you need to paint or seal all that concert before you are down there and your kids play down there. So they throw all of them on the floor and that is "not playing with the toys" The kids they must forget what toys they have that's way the rotation So when you bring them the toys that was forgotten they think that is a new toy!!!so they play with that toy!!!
