Washing dishes by hand tip: put dish sop in a spray bottle 50/50 water to dish soap. It sprays really well and saves on soap. I use this when I’m not filling the actual sink. Great for the larger items that don’t go in the dishwasher.

Aw, I'm a Swedish woman, aged 41, and basically grown up with Ikea-furniture assembling, and the instructions make perfect sense to me 😅🤭 But its from a lifetime of assemblage of course 😁 The only time I was actually quite annoyed and close to despair was when the instructions were completely missing! (by misstake of course)! I had a friend over to help me because it was a large dresser so I didn't want to wait assembling it (it was pre digital manual area so I would have needed to go back to the store to get one). So we just went ahead and figured it out by ourselves, pice by pice, and gosh the bag of screws etc was huge! And it took several hours! But we made it 😅 That's about 20 years ago when I was a student, and I still have (& love!) that dresser 😅😍Its just about practice is what I'm saying. For every furniture you'll understand it better and better 😊 I don't think you'll need to worry about a divorce just yet 🤭 And also, your husband will be so puffed up proud later having done the aasembling 😅 Good luck 😁

Shark navigator liftaway with pet attachments (for all you pet owners who have shedding critters) works great! It is a real workhorse and all the attachments work so well; I got mine at Kohls with a coupon five years ago for about $200 and even with tons of use and abuse, it is still a workhorse. Just be sure to maintain it (cleaning out the canister and filters regularly is a must). The attachments are great for upholstery and hard surfaces.

Looking good, always feels good to clean out and get organized. I've been using the wool dryer balls for about a year and love them. Although sometimes depends on weather I may need to add a dryer sheet. They still help your clothes dry better with less wrinkles. If you want to go without the dryer sheet or fabric softener try vinegar in your downy ball.

I started Grove a few months ago. They work great! They’re a little more on the pricey side but it’s worth it to me to be chemical free, plant-based, and almost totally plastic free. All of their items are recyclable and they either come in or you can purchase a glass spray bottle to use so I like that. I have only been disappointed in one item I ordered

Check the Container Store for dividers for your dresser. I pick 2 or 3 drops of my favorite essential oil on the wool balls to add a scent to the clothes in the dryer. It will last through 4 to 5 loads of clothes when washed in one day. Also, for static clean, take a piece of foil and lightly wad it into a ball. Use it til it starts crumbling apart, about 2 weeks of use doing an average of 12 loads a week.

I will choose antique dressers over anything else. You cannot beat real wood! I’ve looked at those ikea dressers and they are pretty. The drawers are essentially cardboard though. Not going to hold up over years of use. All of our dressers are at least 100 years old and going strong!

I love Ikea. I have so many Ikea things in my house. I love their instructions, because there is nu language. You do need to check which piece is what, but that's the same everywhere else... My husband and I have made building Ikea furniture into an art, basically. I am in the middle of reorganising as well. I watched The Home Edit on Netflix, and now I have ordered clear plastic bins for my bathroom 😂 I also reorganised my clothes, we are hanging up picture rails, we have reorganised our enormous (8,5x7 ft) display cabinet (we collect things. Many things), I did a complete spice drawer makeover and we got new dining chairs. It feels so grown up! My mother-in-law said that it usually takes about a year and a half in a new house to figure out what works and adjust to your liking. Guess how long ago we moved?

I sold my house and was moving. I had a mountain of filled totes in the garage. I opened each one, and if I hadn't been in it since I had moved into the house I sold, it went into the goodwill pile. (actually I take my items to an animal thrift store where 70 cents of each dollar goes to take care of animals in the shelters). I would open the tote, tell myself I might use it; chastised myself because if I hadn't used it in five years, I wasn't going to use it, and away it went. I gave away thousands of dollars of items that were brand new. Did it hurt a bit? Of course, but after I had cleaned it out, I felt so refreshed. I did the same with the inside of my house. Shoes are the hardest for me to purge, but I did. I will say though after I moved into my new house, I replenished those shoes. (well everyone has to have at least one weak point). Luckily I am not a clutter person and the inside was a much easier transition.
