I’m from Canada and I can only shop Depop and one of your sweater/jackets, the white one on the end of the rack with bears on it I fell absolutely in love with when I watched the thrift with me that you found it! I’ve been looking for one ever since & have yet to find one!! I would do anything to give it a second life in my closet 😍😍😍

I did my walk-in closet the first of the month. I donated 8 lawn n leaf 30gallon bags to Goodwill. I also turned by hangers facing out. After I wear something I’ll turn the hanger the right way when I put it back. So at the end of the season, anything I didn’t wear with the still backwards hanger can do donated.

I just did this and gosh is it overwhelming. 😂 I want to have vintage staple pieces and I came to realize I just had a lot of junk. Decluttering helps you to have an idea of everything you own. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Way too many clothes, shoes, socks, etc. I go thrifting for resale as well as for myself. Yet, when I find really different and cool items I end up keeping them! Not good, the past two weeks I have found adidas, nascar bomb shirt with the matching jacket!! Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, the cutest 2 pair of booties! The higher block heel is actually 3 tones of wood! I feel I will never find it again so I keep them. Definitely not a good philosophy to go by! Love ya

Another option when getting rid of clothes if you have a local Facebook buy and sell page you can bag up some things and label it “women’s clothes size s/m/l free to whoever needs it” I see this a lot and it can be great for large families who are struggling or pretty much anyone!

It's okay I remember you mentioning you have roots in minimalism 🤣 looks like that ship had sailed (jks)! makes sense you would know heaps about decluttering. I also have identified as a minimalist and in many aspects I still am but definitely buy more thrifting, but it really helps being able to gift things to friends and family and selling a bunch of items (which ends up being the excess haha) otherwise I'm very proud of my one rack of clothes for myself haha.

Good job, Alexa! I could see that you were feeling overwhelmed at the beginning, but you got into the groove. I, too, attach memories to my thrifted bargains that I have found from Bellingham, WA to as far South as Chula Vista, CA (we are snowbirds). But, I am working on only buying what brings me joy and that I will actually wear. And, I have a 1 in 1 out rule. Now, that I have lost all the weight I needed (60 lbs) for health reasons, I know my size. But, I don't know how to dress my body anymore. I was so used to covering up my chubby bits. I need to accept my body as it is, saggy skin and all. @carriedayton has actually helped me with my body image issues with her KZbin videos. Hopefully, someday, I will find my style.
