Do you see much of a difference between ultra matte and soft? Some projects I dont want it to appear that it has been sealed.

Thanks for the review. A local art store has these and was looking for something to use on game minis. I feel like these will be a good purchase.

Which varnish would say resemble the shine of action figures plastic? Satin or soft touch?

Wonderful review. Is it scratch resistant? This review was really helpful, I've used mod podge for most of my projects but I like these finishes better!

I can't really say, but I haven't noticed any major scratches/damages on my projects.

What did you paint over half the black at the top of the sheet? It looks like one of the varnishes... I noticed you didn't include the Matte Varnish...

Please see 0:35, I used a shiny sparkle black paint. It is not a varnish. I purchased what was available at the art shop.

Great video. I'm an artist from the UK that makes plaster sculptures and I've been using the gloss duraclear with good success but on occasions its a little too shiny for some pieces and can get milky and pick off if there is too much build up in one area. It does give very good protection though if I use 2-3 coats. My main concern when using varnish is to stop scratches. I'd like to try the matt version but the examples in your video have put me off so wondered if you can tell me if the matte might offer the same protection as gloss on plaster and stone. Would it scratch or pick off or would it stop light scratches and scuffs? Also is there any kind of reflection from the matt version or no shine at all?

I think the soft touch would be better for scratches than the matte. I don't see much reflection on the matte. Based on what you said, I think gloss is better for protection. Since the varnishes are not expensive, you could try it out yourself to find the finish you like. My personal favourite is the soft touch.

What's the difference between varnish and a finisher like angelus finisher?

I have never used angelus finisher, sorry.

Hi! Can you use this varnish on table tops?

I'm not sure. I have only used this for art projects.
