The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha has been more exciting than most sessions in the past decade, which had BJP and NDA on one side, in overwhelming majority, and the rest on the other. In short, it resonated like a cricket match between India and Namibia (test match). No competition, so to speak. But a lot changed after June 4, so much so that now people are turning Parliament speeches into proper viral content and the TRP of Sansad TV must have skyrocketed.
This is because the nation has been denied a strong opposition for over a decade. But now, things are different, which is a great thing for the Northeast. But what was started by Manipur’s fiery MP Bimol Akoijam must now become a blueprint for every non-BJP MP in Parliament for the Northeast. In this episode of Decoded, we try to explain why what was started by Akoijam must now be continued by all those who wish to protect democracy.
