You can see that the Ginebra really adapt and adopt the modern basketball today. They played on their own style and not just because they're part of the SMC Corp. Tim Cone was really know for his traingle offense and halfcourt set, before hindi makakapag-generate ng offense kapag hindi nakakapag halfcourt-set pero dahil inadapt nila na nageevolve na ang modern basketball lalo na sa international scene na sila palang ang nakakapag adapt sa PBA ngayon (Converge nakikita ko din na unti-unti pero dahil sa disputes with Coach Ayo baka magiba nanaman sila ng style next conference). We can't deny na talented talaga ang mga players ng Gins pero they have the asset kasi kaya nila na-acquire yung mga players nila ngayon. For example si CStand, maraming nagalit dahil unfair daw yung trade with Slaughter pero that timw before mag Northport si CStand, nanggaling muna sya ng SMB and tingin sa kanya na SMB management and fans that time na hindi sya fit with Junemar, hindi sya nagcocompliment sa other locals, attitude sa game and may edad na daw sya, kaya the SMB traded for a young and rising Mo Tautuaa na maganda ang ipinapakita sa Northport. That's the time Gins get into the mixed, Stand finally playing on his own style na walang pressure, and thr Gins have an assset like Slaughter (We can't deny that the skillset of CStand are ahead of Greg pero that time si Greg lang ang legit 7'0 sa PBA) the Gins also given a lot of extra player who has an upside to be great and mag fifit kay Coach Pido and guest what Greg became a lot better player alsoin his short time with the Northport kaya sya naofferan ng contract sa B.League. Ginebra is the epitome of greatness and dynasty ngayon sa PBA. They have young guns that can play together for what more than 10years from now with Thompsom-Malonzo-Gray and believe it or not Nardz Pinto. and they're planning to acquire Newsome also in the FREE AGENCY, can we blame the players or the Management for that? No! Credits yun sa Gins management kasi nakakapagattract sila ng players via trade or free agency and negligence yun sa Meralco dahil hindi nila nabigyan ng championship at hindi napaligiran ng maayos at magcocompliment na players around Newsome. I can see Gin winning a lot of championships in the future, and maybe they can finally win their Grandslam.

I disagree dun sa part na Cstand coming on his own when came to Ginebra. You have to remember, Cstan is already the main man of Northport especially when he won that BPC. Cstan was already a bonafide bigman long before he landed on Ginebra. The issue with SMB is that, hindi fit ang laro nya dahil naka centered yung offense ng SMB kay June Mar. Well kung tutuusin kaya sana mag work nun kung nilagay sa 4 si Cstan since may mid range game na din si June Mar. And about Mo, hindi siya rising when SMB acquired him for Cstan, same lang silang aging ni Cstan that time. Its just that mas outside oriented ang laro ni Mo at that time and SMB felt na mas magcocomplement siya jay June Mar. To add, andaming years na nasayang ni Cstan kung di lang sya napunta sa SMB. Andaming allstar selection na sana nya at siguro may MVP na kung maaga siyang nakapag PBA.

Impressive talaga ng pagkakabuo ng Ginebra, pero di natin masisisi yung fans na di bilib because naging factor din naman yung farm teams. Mas may leeway sila mag mix-and-match ng players dahil alam ng SMC na madali sila makakuha ng key players via (usually lopsided) trades, meanwhile yung mga independent teams umaasa lang sa drafts at player development that will take years, and yung chances na maging contender sila is maliit din.

Etong Ginebra team, model dapat for top Philippine teams, mapa-college, high school, or pro, pagdating sa sistema, roster construction. 1. Part ng core nila is having a rim protector like Japeth and a mobile 6'7" big like CStand na nakakapag-contain ng PnR. Need to develop versatility sa depensa, lalo na't undersized ang bigs natin. If we can, develop rim protectors na rin. 2. Matangkad ang wings ng Ginebra. Miah is a 6'4" 2/3, tapos Malonzo and Brownlee are 6'5"-6'6" 3/4's. These should be models in developing wings, hindi dapat undersized. Sometimes versatility in that position means having enough size and length to guard multiple positions. 3. Defense. Nako-contain nila ang Bay Area. Tapos the composition of the lineup allows them to defend multiple opponents. 4. System. Sinusunod nila ang system to a fault most of the time, pero it allows them to get easy buckets. At saka nagiging free-wheeling na sila lately. 5. Guards can play other roles, and they're not that undersized generally. Pinto's 5'10" and LA's 5'8", sure, pero Stan and Scottie are 6-footers who can competently play both guard positions. Tapos don't forget Scottie's insane versatility for a 6'1" combo guard. Good man and team defender, tapos ang rebounding niya, OK. Hope top Philippine teams take notes.

​@@josephlumbog961 it can be done to the point that it'll be common in every league sa pinas.. it should go down to the rectification of how fundamentals are taught at a young age, 10-15 years old. Positionless basketball, where there's trivial emphasis on position but the fundamentals of all.. growth spurts could go on as late as 21,22 years old.. around that point dun pa lang nila ma aassess sa sarili nila kung anong position dapat laruin nila.. example nyan si mike nieto.. not sure kung anong position sya nag start pero nung world cup he's playing 4.. and went to college and pba to become 2/3.. but a lot of players dont have that versatility to make that transition. Kaya ang ending, laging small for the position pag dating sa international. Example pa is japeth.. not sure what age sya nag start mag seryoso sa basketball but he never developed that shooting kasi alam nya athletic naman sya enough para sa pba . Pero pag dating sa international sobrang mediocre nya.wala din post move, and di polish yung rebounding/boxing out.. and pinaka trend ngayon is yung outside shooting.. thats also the reason why ranidel had a better international experience than japeth..

OK na ako sa 6'2" na dos from the homegrowns, although preferable na kayang mag-uno rin rather than dos-tres at that size. Pero sa 3, I think it can be done with 6'5"-6'6" homegrowns. Will Navarro's technically pure Filipino, lumaki lang sa Greece. Chico Briones, 6'6" na dos sa States, although he was born here. Ang kailangan lang, emphasis on mobility and perimeter skills at an early age, hindi 'yung iba-box mo sa isang position kung matangkad ka. Positionless basketball, ika nga.

Brownlee is now 34 years old, kaya kinuha ni tim si malonzo at gray para mabalanse yung athletisism ng team cause brownlee is now less athletic. Plus, nawala na yung bigat sa balikat ni brownlee when it comes to offensive load dahil go to guy na din si malonzo and gray at Cstan kasi si pringle, tenorio and japeth is getting old too and not that explosive. May bonus pa na scottie na hindi sumasapaw sa opensa pero magugulat ka may may 12 points na pala and may rebounds pa. "Balance" lineup talaga ang sikreto no Tim.

Yung side note ko lng is na notice ko na in all the years coach tim cone coached here in the pba this is the second time (first is Alaska) I’ve seen coach tim having a major scoring threat at the 1 spot in Stanley, and two 3 and d and more in Miah and Jamie. Before sa alaska si Johnny A, Jeff Cariaso and Jolas yan. Dont get me wrong athletic din ang dalawang yan. Si PJ and James yap kasi pure scorers yun eh pero hindi gaano ka athletic(arguable si james, si Pj hindi gaano talaga) John Arigo was one too and imention na rin natin si Cyrus pero yung tandem ni Cyrus is si La, wala siyang athletic wing partner. The Finals series against TnT exposed a lot of things under the radar. I am a Ginebra fan, but I honestly believe that this team lacks Veterans as well as with the loss of LA made them lose their secondary shot creator. I know that Scottie has made strides here, but he isn't at that point that you can rely on him readily to create a shot, while Stanley Pringle right is less reliable as Mark Caguioa on any point of his career, be it his prime or twilight. Gray/Malonzo are a good tandem, but we need to pick one and get assets for the other.
