What amazed me the most during their OQT run is that the version of the team playing the Georgia and Brazil matches was the "next man up" edition. No Iskati and Kaijuu, players playing out of their position and fueled by sheer puso. We could have gone all the way to the Olympics if we just had all our pieces. (We were leading Brazil for 2 quarters even!) I low-key hate that the pandemic stole a couple of years from Prime JB, followed by the disastrous decision to not give the reins right away to the winningest coach in the league. Sayang talaga. Finally, iba na Gilas ngayon. Dati, players were begging off left and right from the roster. Ngayon, may prestige and honour na. Players are now throwing their hats in the ring to play for the elite Gilas. And the best is yet to come pa for Gilas. ✨

My research mainly circles around the language barrier of technical analysis in basketball breakdowns. I somewhat believe that if a normal Filipino sa baranggay court clicks on a video of BBALLBREAKDOWN of coach Nick, he won't be able to digest the content due to communication problems. Idk it's just really concerning that Filipinos are so lost in the sense of the best players in the baranggay don't even know how to throw a skip pass.
