The piano sound was made by inserting metal thumb tacks into the individual hammers. I believe it was Don Randi's idea.

There's only one bass guitar and a 12-string following it. I believe Carol is playing the 12-string while Ray plays the bass. Of course the 12-string that plays chords is played by Carl.

Doesn’t sound like a 12-string to me. Sounds like a 6-string. Also, Carl was still using Fender and Rickenbacker at this point. I believe he started using Epiphone in the 70s.
