I agree with you about simplifying the decorations. I’m ok with farmhouse but have never been a big fan of the black and white signs. I also have a small house with a small kitchen. I need to come up with more creative storage solutions because I have too much on my counter space (small appliances, knife holder, etc). I love his new look!

Never really did the farmhouse look. Maybe a piece or two. I have always been into antiques, a bit of shabby chic, and mostly french country. Just moved in here a few months ago. And am having so much fun getting things all put together. I agree, less is more. Always have had lots of things all over the kitchen. But here I have not done that. Just certain things. It is a lot easier to keep clean when there is not so much stuff out everywhere. I really loved the mirrors on the mantlepiece. Am doing that in a bit different version. I like the clean lines of all the white, but I have added cerulean green here and there. I love many of the green shades. And a bit of mirrored glass things. Just love those. Am into peonies and roses in the blush pinks and white. Always interested to see your videos, we have a bit of the same taste in things. Interesting to see how you put yours all together. One thing I am especially overjoyed about is I finally found a four poster bed. Been looking for a few years for just the right one.

Love the less clutter feel myself. I love your style. If I had to describe how my house is decorated, it’s French Country Goth. I dislike the sign over kill in farmhouse style. But I do have one, a white haunted house sign that’s behind the curtains on the window shelf. I subscribed!

Love the Cups & saucers. What change those made in your shelf. I like the bread box as well. I have a chrome roll top bread box it holds a lot of but I'd like to get something else. And your right the old saying of less is more does work. I collect Cups and saucers most of mine are packed away wish I had a place to display them but I have a small kitchen with a built in hutch but I didn't like them on there.

I leave the plastic detergent cup in the washing machine. I toss it in with soap and wash it every load-less mess to deal with.

Hola! I am with you on being over the farmhouse look. I got rid of everything I had (I gave it to my neighbor who loves farmhouse still) and I started fresh and now I have been adding rustic pieces (woods, etc) and simplifying everything. Years ago my daughter got me a sign "Country Kitchen" for my kitchen. It was already designed and decorated country style. I didn't need a sign to overstate the obvious. Real country folks don't put anything out anything that doesn't have a function or purpose. Automatically does away with clutter. Of course you must always have plant and flowers if possible.

....I do like a bit of the " Farmhouse " thing, but I like that you're changing it up.....I have that " French country vintage thing "going on , in certain ways, and I find it to be a joy to look at ....it feels fresh and " sweet ", ...and charming. ....and I adore those dishes, that's " me ", my style...I have a small collection of cups and saucers , those look soooo pretty, Miss Monica . I liked some elements of the farm house look but got tired of everyone's house looking the same on IG. I never decorated with the farm house look because I'm of the generation before that and it was too expensive to change all of my decor. I also thought about how much my decor still makes me happy. So I'll just wait until my colors and similar style swing back around. My house is a blend of cozy cottage meets Ralph Lauren meets Texas ranch. I love the whites and have white cabinets but my walls are light khaki with browns, burgundy, stone, and deep green colors in fabrics and furniture. I love having flowers out too. Your home is beautiful. If I could decorate 2 houses, I would have one decorated like yours. I'm a new subscriber and love your videos.
