My son invented a great hack for a wonky topper. When he was 10 he colored a chopstick with a dark green magic marker and wired that to the top of the tree to give the star some stability. I still use it to this day!

I do exactly the same thing! 😁 Although I've always had a real tree and didn't have to worry about that but came up with this at 40 when I get an additional small fake tree and came across that problem..so yeah way more impressive that he was 10 when he thought of this! 😄🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽

You could always “wrap” your boxes under the stairs to look like gifts. 😊 Love the red and pink!!

For the topper, I fold in half the top branch and it’s perfect. Cute Christmas decor and cute dogs as well!

Have you thought about the lights that come in xmas tree shape and stick to the wall? Don't take space but still tree like lights 🎉

Sooo sweet! Love Christmas decorating. How about a feather boa for a tree skirt? We always do that with white ones to mimic fluffy snow.

Oh Hermione, your apartment has a really great Christmas vibe, I am loving all that is around. those boxes under the stairs that you mentioned you weren't liking, just get some Christmas wrapping paper and cover them up so they look like a present. With your Christmas tree topper sometimes if the top part of the tree isn't straighter or more solid it can look wonky, so you could add a stick to the top to give it a more stable top so your tree topper looks better or fold that long top branch in half to give your topper more stability. Whose cute dogs are those? they are so nice and friendly for you. It is sad you can't spend Christmas with your family this year again, but I feel like you will still have a wonderful Christmas. Just a tip to fill in the tree for a more full look... wrap garland the same color at the tree (or as close as you can get) around the inside and it gives the illusion of a fuller tree!

Those bins you have under the stairs could be wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper so that they look christmasy but your don't need to move them and can continue to use them.

Time consuming but I like to add a tiny bit of thin wiring where the bow does the knot so the little loops don’t droop down and have a nice shape. It’s all making me want to start my decorations but I am trying hard to hold off for 2 weeks

Can you diy a pot out of paper or card to tack on the trunk of the tapestry tree...that would look like it's balanced on the back of the couch and hide the rest of the wee door panel thingy? Also loving your fuzzy ornaments 😊

😄 i go all out traditonal green, gold, silver and red. Hard find 6.5 ft colored light christmas tree. Standard is 7 ft and my old home doesn't have tall ceiling except for the dining room.

Usually fold two branches on the top of atrificial tree instead of using one but year before cat broke my favourite star lit up had it for years 😅 don't make it anymore. So found a light up snowman for our topper that if drop it won't break when climb the tree😅

I find if you told over the top branch and twist it a bit, then put up your topper it's a bit.more stable. Try it?
