"Color has no gender", you are so right, Philip! Since the children moved out of the house, I don't decorate as much anymore. It's too much work to clean up after Christmas by myself. That's why I love it when I see Stephanie and Philip unleash their creative spirit.

Pink as a female gender colour came about in the 1940's. So a very new trend. Red and it's derivatives [pink] was actually associated with males and war, during the 15,17,18 century.

@@sindysimms4001 I still do but not as much and they also have to be easy to put away. For example, instead of a huge Christmas tree, I just use pre-decorated miniature table trees.

@@roseb7525 = Awesome. I think our society puts too much emphasizes on what they deem normal. Pink for Girls, blue for boys. Baah, Humbug I say. Like Philip states colour has no gender. How many men do you know that look stunning in a pink shirt. Look at Stephanie's uncle, he wear loads of fantastic colours. Decor isn't any different. I love colour myself having been a student of fashion ect. I certainly received training in seeing, reading and making colour. I love dying silks, cotton, wools and linens. They are fab fabrics to dye.
