For the corn soup 🍲, all your dad gotta do is the same thing, but shuck the corn instead. And put the shucked corn in the coconut milk/water.

Would have to use half the corn kernels then hit with immersion blender to smooth it before adding the balance of corn

Local sweet corn has hit the farmers markets over here in Nova Scotia, and we're trying this recipe tonight! Thanks for sharing it with us. If you want to change Deddy's mind on the air fryer, have him try his oven-style jerk chicken recipe but do it in the air fryer instead. Cook the chicken at 300F for 30-40 minutes to make it tender, then turn the temperature up to 400 until the skin just starts to burn. The crispy skin you get with air fried chicken is so much better than oven cooked chicken.

😂I beg to differ about the air fryer. Tho my Jamaican partner dislikes it, I've been experimenting & loving it since I received it as a gift. We.both love to cook & we grow lots of food including callaloo, Jamaican pumpkins, okra, garlic, Kuri squash, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, melons & more. Air fryer whole garlic 🧄🧄 heads. 👍Like oven roasted, only faster. Love your channel so much for 3 yrs. 🇺🇸🇯🇲 🇨🇦 ♥️ I know that is so tasty!

Hi Sasha/Deddy, I hear your frustration with trying to purchase fresh coconuts in the GTA. Honestly, it's a " hit & a miss" but more often a "miss" 😢. The tin coconut is definitely a more reliable way to get the coconut milk. An alternative to fresh coconut is the frozen chunks of coconut found in some supermarkets( but it's pricey).

Have you guys ever done a coco bread recipe on here? I've searched your videos and haven't found one? Do you guys make it? If so, I'd love to see a video for it. I always buy coco bread at my city's yearly festival (there is a lot of international foods at the festival... Jamaican, Spanish, African, you name it). It's very good.

Because my husband doesn't like to eat corn on the cob, I'll probably chuck the corn first. BUT I can't help but wonder if removing the cobs might detract from the overall flavor or perhaps the texture of the dish. With that thought in mind, I think I'll do a little experiment: once with just the chucked corn and once with the chucked corn as well as the chucked cobs. What do you think? Will it make a difference? PEACE
