I set out as a solo to see if I could fill the Reclaimer Salvaging ship in Star Citizen 3.22 to it's max capacity by stuffing as much cargo into every available space I could get it into.

Roughly 10 mill seems to be the "normal" cap... someone stated a 20 mill haul but I have a feeling it took them so long to organize the boxes it wasn't worth it $/per hour

We made 12.2 million pumping it exclusively 16 SCU crates until they started to disappear. The total was 1769 SCU of construction materials and +240 SCU of the same in the buffer which we sold after selling the boxes. 10.5 million initial sell + 1.4 million from the buffer. It took us 2 hours from take off to sell.

As a practicing Reclaimer Box *redacted*, I suggest using a few bodies to hold doors open as you fill corners. You can make do with one, and repurpose the door stop as you continue your journey. Awesome haul, looking forward to the next one.

If you want somewhere to repair, you can land the reclaimer on the bigger two service pads at space stations. You can't store it obviously, and it's still vulnerable to determined torpedo or ram griefers, but it saves having to go down into the gravity well or visiting grim hex. You can also hop in the elevator and go grab supplies if you need them. Look for 4 pads along the structure of the station. Looks like the old station pads. 2 of them large, 2 of them small. The large are a bit of a squeeze for the reclaimer but if you approach them side on, you can fit.

This is great! We've been filling salvage processing (including balcony) and salvage hold very carefully, but we often end up exploding. First measures we tried was that no one was interacting with the boxes when Reclmaimer was moving, we also simplified the placement of cargo boxes outside the grid and tried not to stack randoms stacks of boxes. Still we occasionally explode when we move around with Reclaimer.

The most Ive packed in is just under 10M using mostly 16 scu boxes. I drop 4 at a time down the back chute and fill the salvage hold with 16 16scu boxes. Then the cargo hold much like you did and finishing salvage processing loaded to the ceiling with 16 scu boxes with 1s and 2s as filler. I did not think about filling the salvage balcony.

Using almost entirely16SCU crates on Cutlets stream we had 1765SCU, I think the entity limit may also be Server performance based.

1760scu was my max load with the clean up hammerhead missions. boxes started to despawn when i fractured the 8th HH. I stacked everything in 16scu boxes on the processing deck including the balcony and sold everything at GH with a total profit of 12.56mil in under 3 hours playing solo.

You didn't use the cargo room and the salage deck (just under the recuperation salvage floor) ? I currently use them but it's a pain to use the elevator and the hole with glitched hitboxes, so I was wondering if I couldn't just use the main salvage deck and fit it with enough 16SCU crates until they start despawning

I fully tetrised the boxes (only 16 scu ones) into the 3 storage areas and I couldn't fill it fully because of the cleanup script but the Cargo hold fits 11 crates for 176scu and the Salvage hold fits 27 crates worth 432scu and with filling the rear section of salvage processing and the balcony holds roughly 1500scu and adding the other half of salvage processing in a separate instance worth roughly 1000scu the Reclaimer using only 16scu boxes has a estimated rough maximum capacity of around 3000scu of cargo. (Edit I dont know how th cleanup script get triggered but after passing 101 crates every new crate ejected from the buffer despawned one in the hold and I don't know how to get around it, but when I find out im going to try again.)

You can put 32scu containers on the lift carefully. I have picked them up when drugs were still on the big containers loot table. One person tractors and one operates the lift. Then place them in the hold. It is very tight though.

Just this week, we tried fitting three 890 jumps into a reclaimer. (with the buffer limit it takes 6 890s to fit a single 890 into a reclaimer) And well it didnt turn out well. The reclaimer exploded! Though its suspected a juice bottle glitched into the floor. EDIT: After watching this video. If you had made more large crates. Instead of tons of 1scu or 2scu crates. I think this could have gone farther to filling the halls. Bigger the crate the more stored as each one counts as an entity. Maybe save the smalls for hallways only and limit them to 2scu as well. Then keep all the large 16scu crates in the main hold.

FYI you can easily get the 16 scu boxes in the lift, we put 4 at a time in there without much issues.

If you fill the grids on processing and cargo, salvage hold with 16scu units and then stuff processing with 16scu containers you can get ~8mln.

It's great. Solo I do 16's for Processing and 8's for Cargo. Have rammed it full with about 7-8 mill. For solo, just fill Processing with 16's and rake in the dollarydoos. If you do crew, you want two on bridge and two in processing. Moving cargo out is a no-go, as it will just take too much time with the elevator. Those 5 minutes at Orison are well worth it.

Love the video. When you started throwing boxes in the grav room, I fricken lost it, pretty ingenious 😅. Im actually in the process of designing a new salvaging/cargo or multi-role based ship. I'm not sure CIG will use it when it's finished and presented. But think it'd be very useful and simple awesome. I believe more the marrier for ships in a game like this because the universe is huge and the roles could potentially expand to bigger and greater things, and people love variety so why not. Hopefully, it works out, and they'll use this awesome design when its finished.

You can fit the 16scu crates in the elevator. just raise them about two inches up and they fit in perfectly. can get three in with out stacking them. Awesome job. I ran out of patients even filling up the cargo holds so fun to see how much fits in other places as well.

We fit over 10 million worth of CM in a Reclaimer. Only did 16 SCU crates. You can fit 5 on the elevator if you stack them right. 4 can fit side by side in the cargo hold. The salvage hold is tricky. You can fit more if you use the smaller boxes but nobody got time for that. And then go vertical in the salvage processing area. Keep stacking til you reach the ceiling. If I'm doing it solo, I do about 4 or 5 loads in one trip. Get around 7 mil aUEC each time out

The easist way to load the main cargo lift is to stand in the lift and pull in the 16 scu crates to you. I can fit 2 at a time. One C2 fractured took me 3.5 hours using my alt account and transferring the crates to my 2nd C2.

You can get a full 240 buffer from a single Hammerhead but it takes a bit of effort. Your distance from the target will show that percentage of loss. BUT!!! If you inch in a bit closer that negative percentage can change to a positive. I've seen up to +10% and I assume more is possible.

@@Summit_60 best I ever got was +17%. I'm told it can reach +20%. Not much of an issue in a Vulture. The way the Vulture is configured it's extremely difficult to get close enough for a positive number without bumping the target so it drifts out of range. In a Reclaimer, getting a good +% can mean quite a few thousand extra aUEC in your pocket via scu in your hold.

I made 10 mill solo in about 3 hours, I fly, change seats, salvage, get up run to cargo, and stack, I only used size 16 boxes, and only put them in the processing room. I don't want to carry more because if game crash I lose it all, if I want to use other areas, I'm confident 13-15 mill could fit.

Right from the start, before seeing the video: i think the max is 420 scu on grid + 100 units as loose boxes (every box i added after that just despawned). edit1: Watching... seeing you go for small boxes too... so maybe it's 100 units of each box size? I just had 16 scu boxed =D edit2: Couldn't be bothered with small boxes or using the cargo hold, so 16 scu boxes on-grid in salvage processing + 100 units of 16 scu, all exclusively being Construction Material from HH clean up missions nets roughly 10 mil when sold. Plus 1.75 to 2 mil from the HH clean up missions directly.

I just turned the entire recycling room into a landfill, there were boxes up to the ceiling and I sorted from the second floor :D It was sold for about 1,500 SСU, I wonder how much would fit into reclaimer if I still used its special compartments, but I didn't want to waste time and sort them, in an hour I got exactly 6 mil

Solo, 104 x 16scu boxes, cargo hold salvage hold filled to the brim and around 2/3 salvage processing filled.6x hammerheads scrape missions netting +1,5 mil aUAC, and various small ships to unlock all types of salvage to which i paid -75k aUEC, +9.48 mil aUAC from salvage. Total profit ~11,4 mil aUAC. 4 hours but i had to fly around to unlock the scrape hull salvage missions. I reckon that the reclaimer can take (if entities allows it) 8 HHeads + 1 in the buffer for total profit of 15,21 mil. To be tested...

Dude you totally can put the 16scu crates in the elevator, I did a 16 mil. run last night and used the elevator to move spare large crates from the salvage processing to the cargo bay you just have to put the crate in with the short face towards the door and it fits with very little space to move.

Most I have done on one load was 11.5 mil. That was filling the cargo deck, cargo storage, and cargo processing. (to the top) I average about 9.5 mil in a couple hours. I find the 11 mil was just too tedious. I fill the cargo bay and cargo processing. Done. :)

We do something similar all the time with the cargo elevator, you can comfortably fit 3 of the 16 scu boxes on it, then it's easy to transfer it to a C2 from there.

I went there, it's not worth it because they only buy 500scu max at a time (or less if someone has been selling there before you), so if you salvage more than 2 hammerhead you'll have cargo left to sell.

Ok now, i just stopped the timer on 2 rounds: going at a relaxed pace it takes 15 minutes to solo the HH clean up mission with the reclaimer and move all 15 units of 16 scu crates out of the buffer. This means that you earn 250k from the mission + 15x 16 scu x 6 k aUEC = 250 000 + 1 440 000 = 1 690 000 aUEC in 15 minutes excluding time to sell. 7 missions x 15 minutes = 1h 45m of work + let's generously say 30 minutes to sell. That's 11 830 000 aUEC in 2h 15m solo. More enjoyable with 2 to 3 ppl tho =)

Hate to suggest it, but if you just stick to the 16scu and 8scu boxes maybe you'd get a lot more because a 16 would count as 1 entity and the same in 2scu boxes would be 8 entities. We'll need to see a new test please. 😊

You should have used only 16 scu boxes for fewer entities. You can store more the 5 mil just in salvage processing. I average about 9-10 mil a run. Also you should do the hammerhead cleanup missions. You'll spend way less time in transit.

This seems like a very small amount for all you had. I made the same amount as you last night with a crew of 3. All we had was about 2 hoppers worth. All we filled up was processing room and the salvage hold, stacked only 1 high. And we didnt even fill up the processing area, still had the center free to walk through. We used only 16 scu's.

Just spoke to other members of the org and they have also had a few 8 million loads, we all sold at Area 18.

I am confused, I filled about 2/3 of my reclaimer this morning from 5 hammerheads and made over 7 million using just 16scu boxes. They weren't neatly stacked and only about 160scu was on the grid. Took about 2.5 hours... how did you fill it right up and make less money? EDIT: this was solo btw

Too many times have I had boxes or other items start clipping in my ship then KABLOOIE my ship explodes.....hell it happened the other day in my taurus when I put 2 rhino laser guns in the cargo hold. Raised the hold and they started wonking out and before I could open the hold....KABLOOIE.....

the reclaimer is only good this patch and this patch only. its getting nerfed to the ground with .23, same as with risky 30k salvages & EFT's idk HOW you could manage to stay for this long on a server without encountering a bug that either kills your server, your character or your ship.

I know this is an old thread but I'm here in 3.23.1a and I got 958 scu in my Reclaimer after loading in 1140 scu. I kind of cheated, in that I went to a mining facility and just bought all my crates. So I got a mix of 32, 24, 2 and a few 1 SCU crates - whatever the system put on my grid. Then did the normal stuff of moving boxes to the catwalk and storage area. Everything on the cargo grid stayed and random boxes stuck in corners or bouncing around started to disappear. So this was my limit. I'm pretty sure (like @vintersol5050 said) there is a box / entity limit - and not an scu limit. I would imagine the limit is tied to the Reclaimer itself. Which means that you (the player) and your armor and your personal inventory and the ship inventory may all play into this limit. Someone should probably raise this as an issue with the council. Just my 2 cents. @DedLeader
