Nothing I like more than swinging from gym equipment randomly placed in my kitchen before chopping vegetables, that's a great Saturday afternoon.

And the Model as never before cut a piece of fruit given her hand position. So Dedo is ripping off the CRLS System?

Hi, thanks for the compliment! These are made by Dedolight. I’m not 100% sure but I believe their system is cross compatible with CLRS

Why is the light from the reflector so soft even though it’s a relatively small source?

Also, because of the different surfaces on the reflectors, each one have a different finish , the more polished “mirrorlike” material bounces back the light rays almost in the same direction with no variation, on the contrary, the more “matte” material scatters the light rays and bounces them in many directions, hence, the softness.

I want them. So the 25cm is good enough for a starter pack?
@OculusFilm
@OculusFilm 4 ай бұрын
Honestly I’d get at least one 50cm. 25cm is very small. In this case we only had the small reflectors, but if we had bigger ones we’d use them

Lol😂 the camera man at 9:05 - can he be any closer to his monitor. Time to invest in a viewfinder
@OculusFilm
@OculusFilm Ай бұрын
Well, the idea was to have the camera as far back as possible, so the distance between the monitor is much closer than normal, all for the shot! (Hans doesn’t like to use a viewfinder because he wears glasses)

There a quite a few companies who make similar products, all inspired by the DP who invented the system

@@OculusFilm actually not really. Kflect was Christian Bergers first partner, but they parted because Frederic (Kflect) wanted to concentrate on effect lighting, with a vast amount of different reflective surfaces that had little to do with Christians research on natural light. Pani which was the second company (not more producing) never wanted to go beyond catering Christians films and didn't want to learn from the experiences on set. As it was clear that Pani would not improve the gear to handle big productions Christian and his gaffer decided to do it right. Lightbridge was born. 15 years of experience was put into the product. If you want to see the difference, please get in contact with support@thelightbridge.com

@@lightbridgeteam236 But at least this system is more affordable. Whilst I love your CRLS, it is VERY expensive for indie filmmakers.

@@laillaE Deodolights are AFFORDABLE? SMH. On the converse though… Please tell me, what ISN’T expensive in the Film Industry? I will say this though… It was cost me $50K-$75K to outfit a Sony BetaCam SP with a Fuji 2/3rd’s zoom OR $250K +++ to but the Arri SR3 Highspeed S16 camera package with an Optex 10.5mm-210mm F2.8 Zoom in 1997 though the prices have certainly come down over time- so has the price of becoming an owner/operator. My larger point- it’s all relative after you’ve been in the industry for 25 years.
