Dee Dee can sing just like her sister Dionne and Aunt Cissy!! Extremely talented family. When I see them sing, I see where Whitney got it from!!! They are masters at voice control and know what they are doing. You can tell that they has serious voice training and couching outside of their God given gifts!

On the Dee Dee's official site you can listen to all her music, video, interview, blog etc. In order not to spoil Dionne's image as a "superstar" and "style icon" because of her non-standard openly gay younger sister, Dee Dee Warwick was placed under an information blockade. After reading her interview and analyzing other sources, Dee Dee's music was not put on the radio, there was no advertising and promotion. Nothing! Moreover, her new recordings were not released anymore and we will only hear these songs in 2014 !!! For example, Down So Low, Can't It Wait Until Tomorrow, In The Land Of Make Believe, Locked In Your Love, Make It With You, Now That There's You, Only The One You Love etc. Dionne, her fame and big money, became the wrong benchmark in the careers of Dee Dee, Cissy and Whitney. Where would Dionne be without Burt Bacharach and Hal David??? The situation with Alfie. Dee Dee recorded this song in 1966 in the UK with a 40-piece orchestra and full choir. But her recording was not released until Dionne recorded the song. (1,5 years!!!) Dee Dee was a straightforward, deep, sensual artist. She could tell that this song is shit like it was with the Foolish Fool (Grammy nominee, lol). Dee Dee was a homebody, closed person. But Dee Dee Warwick's music is very modern. She was well ahead of her time. Not a single witness of Dee Dee's "drug addiction", she had diabetes, she had syringes for insulin, someone could draw the wrong conclusions. Dee Dee knew that she was talented, but she never turned up her nose and walked on the ground. Dee Dee and her music are love, soul, pain, passion, joy, jealousy. She knew how to sing feelings! Pooky's song is dedicated to her deceased brother Pookie. Dee Dee was diamond, experimenter, innovator !!! Thanks Dee Dee))) Sing Dee Dee)))

On this day in 1969 {May 17th} Dee Dee Warwick performed "Foolish Fool" on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... The week before it was at position #57 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, and that was it's peak position on the chart, and it was also it's eighth and final week on the Top 100... Between 1965 and 1971 the Newark, New Jersey native had seven records on the Top 100 chart, her biggest hit was "I Want To Be With You", it reached #41 in 1966... Dee Dee Warrick, born Delia Juanita Warrick, passed away at the age of 66 on October 18th, 2008... May she R.I.P.

"Her version?" The only other one, and in fact the first & only recording that II FOOLISHLY 😜 thought existed was the 1st track on Chaka Khan's album, from 2007 I think, thatI remember won the Grammy for Best R&B Album.. So I assumed it was a Chaka original till this came up randomly on my KZbin feed lol. So if Dee Dee's wasn't the original, whose was it? Google and KZbin aren't helping me at all. Can't believe there isn't any more easily available info out there for such a great classic song when there is a Wikipedia article about the most useless drivel one could think of.

mrob75 yes, which is upsetting because Dee Dee had such an amazing voice. personally i think they could’ve easily overlooked her sexuality since her songs were about “men” and she was a private person anyhow, but with any fame that comes ones’ way the public has to know EVERY little thing. it was also said she had a drug addiction problem which was also her downfall. sad that drugs spread throughout that family but it was the trend back in the 70s-80s. and you’re very welcome Rob☺️

BRADLEY KNOWELL could possibly have been one of the best examples of whats known as The Hit maker's EAR. Barry Gordy Smokey robinson, sam Philips, LA Reid, Jimmy, Jimmy Iiovine, Rick Rubin, Michael Jackaon, Dr Dre, and i hate to admit it but Sean Puffy puff daddy combs also will go down as one of those people like J prince and orhers on the list as well, are well known as a HME but thue earned that title illegitimately and fraudly so.

Watching the Whitney movie brought me here. I've heard of Dee Dee Warwick but mostly as Dionne's sister. Crazy the molestation accusations against her. Since she's not here to defend herself I reserve the right to not speak alot on it, but just to know that molestation was so prevalent in the black community and yet taboo to speak up. If true, could speak to the Houston children's torment. Sad.

Dee Dee enjoys the beats of songs more than Dionne. Again she seemed more emotional than Dionne. Though Dionne gas a great voice but lot of times it's like was forced to sing the songs
