I'd say that the Wonder Flowers are the highlight of this game. Not knowing what will happen when you touch one makes them very interesting.

Nintendo doesn't tend to announce hardware in Directs, and they wouldn't wanna distract from their great holiday lineup this year. So we're not getting a hardware announcement until next year. Could be as soon as January, or as late as like July or August. But there's no reason for them to announce the next system while they've still got loads of games releasing very soon.

I love the Metroid-inspired power ups and enemies. The Dark Souls like online is awesome. This game really brings the magic of the OG series back. So much variety, enemies, abilities that will make speed runs awesome. Also it's confirmed to have secret level exits like World. Can't wait!

This is a much needed shakeup from the stale Wii U style Mario games. Very trippy visuals with the wonder mode etc. very cool. Nintendo still impress with the new twists they put on decades old IP’s.

The Wii U Mario games (Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World) were awesome and beautiful and imo my personal favourites in the entire franchise. Unless you're referring to New Super Mario Bros? In that case, yeah it did get pretty stale imo.

"Now I know they're out of ideas." I know that was a joke, but I think what's so great about this game is that it shows quite the opposite. This could have just been New Super Mario Bros. 3, but no, Nintendo seems to have gotten the message that some Mario games, especially the New Super Mario Bros. games, have gotten stale, and so they're finally thinking outside the box again. I'm looking forward to seeing what this game has in store. I'm particularly interested to see the final level, as I'm expecting "Castle Bowser" to be a living, breathing dungeon.

If Yoshi can handle an elephant, I wouldn't be surprised if even Bowser can ride one. Plus, it's really interesting how they can't be harmed, like in Yoshi's Island. And I guess "power-ups don't work on yoshis" is canon now.

I always figured Yoshi’s were pretty much the apex predator on their islands, hence why the only things that could hurt them were the similarly tough Chain Chomps or something big enough to swallow them like the fish enemies in certain levels.

I seriously love the all red aesthetic. Only reason i got rid of my old Mario Edition was for the OLED. Now its both! ... Unfortunately i just got a Zelda OLED. Why did Nintendo do this to me 😭

It looks great. If the badges are good the playstyles could be quite different. Between the wonder flowers, badges, new power ups, ect there could be an incredible number of secret exits to levels.

This game looks pretty awesome NGL, its like an updated NSMB with a lot more sass. Love the visuals, they are crisp as F. The Mario team went crazy with the creativitiy in this. Good to see not the exact same Mario games over and over, and the badges etc are super cool. The only thing is this game comes out on the same day as Spider-Man 2 PS5.

I'm gonna love it cause I love 2D Mario, but I do worry it's gonna be too easy... with so many ways to help you. Seems like a double edged sword. Also the talking flowers are jarring, Yoshi and Nabbit don't take damage so can't use them, and I don't want people to be so faint online... And I wish this was Charles' last Mario game.

Dee, don't get your hopes up for Switch 2 coming out anytime soon. Read their fiscal reports. Nintendo actually outdid the pandemic year of 2020 in software sales comparing 1st Quarters. 2020 was the year where the phenomenon of Animal Crossing: New Horizons launching at the outset of the pandemic. In 2023 with the help of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom they actually outdid THAT. So basically they just had their best April to June quarter IN THEIR ENTIRE 134 YEAR HISTORY. And hardware sales are STILL breaking records. This console is OVER 6 years old heading into its 7th full year. NO OTHER CONSOLE except maybe the Game Boy under the Pokémon phenomenon has EVER sold like this in its 7th year. And that includes that almighty Sony PlayStation 2, the best-selling home console of all time,... ...as well as the Nintendo DS, the best-selling handheld console of all time. There is a strong chance that Nintendo's April 2023-March 2024 fiscal year can do BETTER than their April 2022- March 2023 fiscal year. They may actually beat their last year's numbers & go back UP in sales this late in the game. The Switch is nowhere NEAR dead. The successor is not coming out next year or even being announced next year. With a MAJOR Mario game like this coming out after that record-breaking Mario movie... ...IN THE SAME YEAR they just destroyed all brains with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom... ...AND defied all odds finally making Pikmin more than a niche success, there's no chance that they're walking away now. Nintendo will not move on until the Nintendo Switch is THE best-selling console of all time-home AND handheld. They STILL have to release Metroid Prime 2 Remastered & Metroid Prime 3 Remastered (they WILL release those, the $40 price tag of Metroid Prime Remastered proves it) before we get a glimpse of Metroid Prime 4. And Metroid Prime 4 is gonna be ANOTHER earthquaker redefining what could be done in the series like with BOTW & TOTK did for Zelda. We have NO IDEA what Metroid Prime 4 even looks like, that's how big an impact that game's gonna have. 2024 is not Switch 2 year, 2024 is Metroid year. Not to mention the obligatory TOTK DLC trains. Just enjoy your Switch, Dee, & ignore these persistent Switch Pro/Switch 2 rumors.

I could never control Mario or crash bandicoot, I never felt so uncoordinated 😄😄😃 loved donkey Kong though, I could never finish the last level in donkey Kong 64, I even got so desperate I offered my boys or their mates $50 if they could, didn't happen, loved the first 2 banjo kazooie's , and I did enjoy running around in Mario 64 because it looked so cool, I definitely enjoyed banjo kazooi the most, hidden rooms and windows you could break, oh and ty the Tasmanian tiger for all the frustrating games I played, they were the most enjoyably frustrating 😄😃👍.

They will almost certainly NOT announce new hardware in the September Direct. Why on earth would they ever announce a console that likely isn't releasing til holiday 2024 before holiday 2023? Hey, for your next stream that you do for the game, you don’t have to do this if you feel like you don’t want to, but if I may make a suggestion on two memories to do in the game Do the one on the coast line to the right of Zora domain and the one next the the hylian bridge, and for these two that in order for the other to make sense, you have to do the one next to the Zora domain first for the one next to the Hylian bridge to make any sense
