Fun fact: Himeko is not a female Diluc, it's more like Diluc is a male Himeko. Himeko as a character has existed since 2014 in one Mihoyo's first games called Gun Girls Z(GGZ). After that, in 2016, Mihoyo released Honkai Impact 3rd and introduced us to Himeko which is a different character from GGZ Himeko. There's multiple variants of characters because these universes are on the Imaginary Tree. The Imaginary Tree is a concept first introduced in HI3rd. It is in a constant battle with another force called the Sea Of Quanta. Think of the Imaginary Tree as Order and the Sea of Quanta sa Chaos. The Imaginary Tree is constantly trying to absorb the Sea of Quanta while the Sea of Quanta is constantly trying to drown the Imaginary Tree. Each branch on the tree is a form of civilization while each leaf has a universe in it.

Explanations for Paths or character archetypes/classes: Damage dealing focused Paths Path of the Hunt (like Dan Heng): Great at dealing lots of damage to single targets but tend to struggle against multiple enemies and are rather fragile. Path of Erudition (like Himeko): Great at dealing lots of damage to multiple enemies but tend to struggle against powerful single enemies and are rather fragile. Path of Destruction (like Chickens): Tend to have more health and defense than the previous classes and are flexible and/or sacrificial. Flexible Destruction characters can handle both single strong and muliple enemies fairly well, but are unable to put up as much damage as the specialized classes without sacrifice. Sacrificial Destruction characters consume additional resources (usually health related but not always) in order to power up their attacks to the previous two classes strength. Support Path: Path of Harmony (like Asta): Can increase other characters' stats, advance other characters' turns forward on the battle timeline, and/or give other characters energy so they can perform their Ultimates more often. Wildly Varied Path: Path of Nihility is basically any character that focus on debuffs, but depending on the debuffs in question, they play very differently. Damage over Time Nihilty (like Kafka): Unofficially the fourth damage dealing class, uses damage over time debuffs to supplement their attack. Stat Sapper Nihility (like Silver Wolf): Usually act as support, uses stat debuffs to lower enemy stats to help other damage dealers get more from their attacks. Acheron, the newest 5 star character, doesn't really fall under either category, but I don't really want to make this too much longer. Sustain Paths: Path of Preservation (Like March 7th): Focus on preventing and/or mitigating damage to your other allies by using shields or taking attacks meant for them. Tend to have high health and/or defense. Path of Abundance: Focus on healing damaged allies and cleansing debilitating debuffs. Tend to have a lot of health but little attack. A good party for story content is one sustain and either two supports and one damage dealer or one support and two damage dealers that are of different paths.

Hey Dee, just here to give you some minor advice and explainations. 1. The whole receptacle choice at the start wasn't to put an AI/digital mind into a body. And don't worry, it does get explained. 2. Again, Star Rail is apart of a multiverse. So if your chat goes crazy when they see certain characters, that's because they know the counterparts for them. I mean, Himeko is one such character. 3. Trial characters will only be present in your party for a short amount of time. So if you want Himeko, you best get lucky in the gacha. 4. When you get a healer, keep them in your party at all times till you get major damage dealers

I'm glad to see you enjoy it! Just remember that targeting enemy weaknesses is crucial. Breaking their weakness delays their turn and gives them damage over time, so just keep the weaknesses of the enemy and the elements of your characters in mind.

New viewer here for the star rail stuff. I really like your editing style, the paper cutouts for dialogue where people aren't on screen are a fun choice. The biggest piece of advice I can give to new players is whenever you get a new character, make sure you read their most important traits: Basic Attack, Skill, Ultimate, and Talent. These will help you figure out how a character works in order to build their equipment and teams properly. I'll comment a little later with an explanation on the Paths or character archetypes/classes.

I'm glad to see you enjoying this game. It was a blast watching you play it live! If you wouldn't mind, I'll give you a few simple tips of the game: This game gets much harder the farther you get into the game so strategy is key. breaking an enemies' weakness is an essential part of the game as it not only deals more damage to them but it delays their turn so your allies can have another chance to attack. Breaking is especially good against bosses as it'll interrupt their killer hit move that most of them are known for. Make sure to use that to your advantage. Timing is very important too. It's already stated ingame but you can use your ultimate at any time(when ready) so you can use them right before an enemy gets to attack or use it to heal an ally if they're at death's door. I've clutch a lot of battles by timing my ultimates just perfectly. Anyway hope this helps and praying that you get acheron in the next stream. She's not only one of the best characters in the game but she's the best looking character too imo.

Moreso than a LOT of gachas I’ve played, this game’s version of the monthly battle pass is VERY worth it in my opinion. You will experience a LOT of dwindling resources as you level your characters, and the monthly battle pass, even just the $5 version is very helpful in this regard. The upgraded $15 version is a lot more nice materials, but it’s not strictly necessary. You still get plenty of materials with the basic version. I’d seriously recommend it if $5-15 a month on a game pass doesn’t deter you. Also, you don’t have to get it every month.

I honestly think this game is one of the most solid gachas. It’s really great with its story and lore, and all the characters are fun and can serve a purpose on a team, even 4 stars. As more characters come out they can also bring new life to old characters with new synergies and team comps. The light cone banner being a 75/25 chance makes it WAY better than most weapon banners in other games, and there’s no epitomized point system or anything. I think you’ll have a lot of fun. ALSO! Please watch other KZbin content surrounding this game. Things like “cat in blue hat” coverage of trailers and main story quest breakdowns and explanations help a LOT to show you what you missed and add nice context to things. You can also do EVERY PAST EVENT since launch, unlike Genshin. You get much more reduced rewards, but still, it’s a GREAT backlog of content between when you reach equilibrium level grinding caps.

one of the best things about HSR is how simple it can be, for daily play. It's easy to play on mobile, and accomplishing the daily tasks and using the "trailblaze power" (resin, vitality, stamina, whatever) is simple and autoplay exists for times if you don't really have the time for piloting every battle.

It wasn't possible to tell this at this time, but the tutorial actually shows you standard tactics for using Kafka (such as switching away from opponents that are mostly beaten) as well as the basics of how to play. While I realized immediately upon my own playthrough it wasn't letting me look at Kafka or Silver Wolf's abilities (playing Genshin impact, I learned to reflexively try to call up the character sheet of anybody suddenly available), and having also immediately tried to pull up the quest journal provided enough foreshadowing I could guess why once the second hint was promptly dropped, it wasn't at all clear why Kafka was interrupting combat with bursts until much later.

Hey Dee I highly recommend you take the time off stream to read about what the characters kits actually do as that will be relevant the further you go in the game. Also familiarize yourself with all the Classes/Paths and when to use Skill Points and keep track of them as SP management is highly important to beat harder fights
