Deebot N8 Plus Review mapping problem!

I watched other reviewers give it high ranks but I don't see how. I even ran my old Shark vac behind it and it picked up quite a bit more!

It's not worth it. Mine keeps mapping the same room and then goes to it's station to charge. But the biggest issue of this cleaner is the side brushes, they keep coming out and doesn't really clean without brushes

Mine does the entire home, it does seem to have issues around really dark appliances. What it does is I have a black refrigerator, stove etc and it won't go up against these items, it will stay back a couple inches. I also have a rug with a dark edge border and it goes to the edge but it won't cross onto it, it stays around the edge. From what I have read, the edge the drop sensors think there is a drop off there and it is trying to avoid falling. My really old neato with Lidar had no issues with that.

Yeah my Wyze ended up turning out to be perfect for mapping! The only thing is it's not the best for carpet but it gets the crumbs on the hard floor picked up pretty good. I will be nice when the day comes they have all these quirks fixed so i don't have to keep buying them every so often.

I just started having same issue It maps in the wrong way and can't even go back to charging deck. It stops at 50% and starts searching for the charging deck knowing that it was doing that at 15% battery. I erased and reset the robot many times without getting any benefit

Wow sorry to hear that! My old school sharks still preforming perfect and batteries still working like almost new after 4 years now! The new sharks I didn't like though. Good luck though.

My Deebot N8 Pro got stuck somewhere and I could not find it the next day. I found it under the couch. Not sure why it stopped. I had to pick up and move back to charging dock. Now it cannot locate. It always times out when I try to locate or run. Customer service said to turn off and back on a couple of times. Did it twice, no luck. Will try more.

Also because it cannot locate. It tries to do another map. So annoying

Yeah man these vacuum bots can be a pain in the butt for sure! I've been using mine for awhile now upstairs and to be honest it hasn't been to bad. I think they must have done some software updates over time to fix some of the issues. The most recent issue was during a remodel of my upstairs, I couldn't run the bot for about 2 weeks because of tools and material all over upstairs. So when I finally did, the bot was plugging up with debris and wasnt emptying in the container. This kept doing it over and over again. So customer service had me change the settings to have it empty sooner (20 min) then continue. That helped a lot. By the way, their customer service had been top notch! Best customer service ever! Like and subscribe, I'll have more informative reviews coming soon.

I forgot to mention also that if I remember correctly mine also would get stuck under a couch. Since I've had it upstairs the rest of it's life, it's been fine.

If you want to prevent it getting stuck under the couch, I used virtual boundary to stop it going under it.

mine continuously erased the map. customer service says you need to not reset and do it over and over to map, but my n8 is dumb too and thinks it’s in new places

Sorry to hear about your problems also. It sure does get frustrating when customer service asks you to do something yet it never fixes the problem .

Have the same problem. It can walk in the middle od the room, but on the map it shows like it is walking near the wall. May be it is problem in the app or software?

Returned my T8 plus because it couldn't pull pet hair into the base. I bought a Dreame z10 pro,that thing is great.

I'm not familiar with that model. But the first review I saw was this "We may have been striving to create artificial-intelligence, however with this item we have definitely created artificial-stupidity. This device will run over a dusty area and collect (10% - 20%) of the dust. It will push away or ride over the remaining. It will be ungodly loud, it will scare your children, it will irritate your neighbours. It is completely not ready to fulfil its marketed role. The only potential benefit of this machine is watching an instagram video of a cat riding it." I know I normally love humming sounds but if it's like my Wyze bot it's crazy loud!!!!

Try closing your curtains, the sun seems to cause issues.

That never made a difference either for me. I have it run as a 4th back up to my other 3 now.
