A very sad day for his diehard fans.. I am overwhelmed by listening this very sad and mournful ghazal with the Heart rending lyrics penned by Qateel Shifai...Rendered as soulfully by JS in his charismatic style and captivating voice.!..These soul stirring lyrics, touch our inner core....Aye deeda-e-giryraa.n kyaa kahiye, iss pyaar bhare afsaane ko.....Ik shama jali bujhne ke liye, ek phool khilaa murjhaane ko.!.. These couplets are very apt for the occasion and very nostalgic too... Mai.n apne pyaar ka deep liye, aafaaq mein har suu ghoom gaya.. Tum door kahee.n jaa pahunche thay, aakaash pe jee behlaane ko... Wo phool se lambi bhaari hain, ab yaad ke naazuk shaano.n par..Jo pyaar se tumne....... I have read most of the comments on Ghazal recitals by Jagjit Singh..............BUT nothing is said about the POET who wrote the Ghazal. Jagjit is a great master singer but he is merely INTERPRETING the thoughts of Qateel Shifaee
