For the record, each and every member has a vocal range of at least five to six octaves. Scott goes from middle bass through baritone and across the entirety of the tenors. He covers the bass whenever the bass (Avi or Matt) is singing a lead vocal.

He really is an awesome guy. I saw them live in September. He's so great with the fans. He knows we miss Avi (Avi was my mom's favorite member) but Matt won her over that night. He waved and smiled at both of us. I even got him to return a heart with his hands after I did it to him. He truly is honored to have this opportunity, so I'm really glad to see as others start really appreciating and loving him.

I think Avi was teaching Scott to sing low. There were a couple of songs where Avi was singing and Scott was doing the deep bass background notes.

Scott is a full baritone. He can go low into the upper-bass register, or go high into the low/mid-tenor in his chest voice. Because he had Avi, and now Matt (bass), and Kevin (also a baritone), he's never needed to sing low solo. But every time Avi or Matt sings solo, it's Scott filling in on the bass notes to allow Kevin to stay on percussion. It is really nice to hear Scott sing low solo, though. Very rare.

Scott's always been able to do a little bit of a bass. He's been expanding it recently, but when you listen to Hallelujah again, the bassline is going on even when Avi sings the melody - that's Scott doing the bassline.

Yup, I heard it at release on spotify, I thought Matt was having a bit of vocal trouble at first..., then I saw the video. Der.... You just wait until they do "Nowhere Man" and "All you need is Love". That's only the first part of the tour, they're still nailing down when and where for the rest of the world..., and teasing us too by dropping hints here and there. Don't worry, there is a lot more to come. I think this will be another grand 15 to 18 month tour. There are hints of New Zealand, Australia, Central and South America, Russia, other parts of Europe, Asian "ports of call".... This is not a small adventure they are planning. As a serious Pentaholic, I really enjoyed this reaction. As well as your reaction to Disturbed's version. I hope you will----or have--listen to the original artist and composers of this magnificent song--Simon and Garfunkel--perform it. It came out in 1964--long before you were around, but it was so beautiful in its sweet acoustic simplicity. And was quite prophetic in its message.

Worry not, the dates up are for the first leg of the tour. I don't know when the other legs go up, but there you go. I'm pretty sure that everyone was blowing you up with requests because they knew Scott would have you shooketh showing off his base skills. 😀 He has sung base before for PTX when the base is otherwise occupied. Ex. When Avi had his verse in Hallelujah or when Matt solo-ed in Evolution of Rhianna Scott would jump down and sing base. The key change before Kirstin's part is awesome. Scott would sing bass when Avi was singing lead. The most wonderful singing group. If your looking for another a cappella group listen to "Citizen Queen" very good also.
