One of my wheels / gear box went bad. There is not nearly so much information on disassembly of the Q5 as there is for the previous generation!

Ah, too bad. I would think a lot of the information will still be the same, but yeah, a lot could change too. I don't have a Q5, so I can't comment on it unfortunately

@@FASTmaster789 i just kept taking screws out. Have to pop the cliff sensor out to allow the metal pin to slide out releasing the wheel and spring. New one ordered for $18

great video, thank you a ton! one question -- i put everything back together, but now my pivot wheel casing won't stay in, and i can't figure out what's actually supposed to hold it there. (The gray piece did slide off the metal rod.) I put the two screws back in as described, but the whole casing now falls out. any ideas?

No problem! Glad I could help. Are the screws staying in and the rest of the casing is falling out? They should be one piece if I understand your question correctly, perhaps there is something that needs to snap together? Or just the wheel is falling out? If so, it just needs to be popped back in

@@FASTmaster789 the screws keep the grey plastic in, but the whole rod/wheel falls out. when i take it apart i don't see anything that would actually "keep" it in place. Sure FEELS like something should snap...

I have to replace the wheel tyres (S6 pure) as they are worn out. What are all the parts I have to remove to get the pin out and get the wheels out. Thks

I haven't removed the wheels, but if it's the same as the P4 I would say you just need to go deeper and remove the next layer with the board on it. Hopefully you'll be able to see what needs to come out after that.

Can you please give more detail on how to remove the main wheels?? How do I remove the clip sensors?

Hello, in this video, this is not something I did since I only needed to clean the main wheels. To remove those sensors that block the wheel pins, you would first need to remove the inner panel that you can see around 10:48 of the video. This is the one that is a darker, gloss black color, and has deep holes for some of the screws that hold it. Once it is removed, I believe you should be able to access the connectors for the sensors.
