@Lauren its to help melt the ice we get on our roads in winter due to heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures. The salt then gets splashed up on the underside of vehicles/wheel wells and sits there until its rinsed off and it results in rust on the underside and the door area of the cars.

@@andrewkelly3702 We had 5 kids in my family, cars were always clean, sure there were a few sticks, dirt and sand here and there, but we had to clean. We weren’t, allowed to eat messy shit in the car, unless absolutely necessary and we took all the trash inside with us. The car wasn’t spotless, but i would be happy to bring a friend or significant other in it and it smelt fresh and looked cared for. It’s not hard to take out the trash and give it a once over with a vacuum and hose every few weeks.

I know some of you don't understand how cars can get this dirty, but we need to remember that we don't know their lives or what goes on in them. They could have busy lives working multiple jobs while taking care of children, they could have severe depression that leaves them unmotivated to take care of their vehicles, they could see the mess and be overwhelmed with getting started that they never start it, etc. I'm glad you all can function well enough that this isn't an issue you deal with, but let's not label people as just "messy" or "lazy" from what we see on the outside. The people saw a problem with the mess and hired professional help to fix it. They got over the fear of being humiliated and judged but having someone fix their mess. I applaud them for at least doing that.

You're life is not so busy you can't take 5 mins at any given time to at least clean up any trash lying around bigger than your fist, especially before you let it over to a stranger to clean up.
