Deep Cleaning a NASTY Hyundai Sonata!

In this episode, I give this 2011 Hyundai Sonata a deep cleaning after a really long cold winter. It was an unbelievable transformation and now it is ready for spring!

I live in southern Arizona, so UV protection is a priority for my car. I have a 2012 Hyundai Azera Limited in white, tan interior with 94K miles on it. It still looks and runs like new. Some of my favorite detailing products are... Aerospace 303 I use on all the plastics as well as the engine bay. Maguires hybrid ceramic spray. Stoners Invisible Glass used with those blue towels made for glass. Meguires extreme tire shine in aerosol form spray it on a detialing brush and apply for more control. Chemical guys, leather cleaner and their leather conditioner. Meguiars PlasticX for headlights.. it's awesome at keeping them like new or clearing up light oxidation. Chemical guys air freshener spray in whatever scent you like for that final 😮😊 Love my Azera, it still turns heads. Good job on the Sonata!!

Great video Mr Scrapper. Lots to unpack on this one. What makes P&S Xpress such an effective cleaner on interior plastics is exactly what makes them bad for Weathertechs. It’s just not strong enough. Superclean 1:4 drill brush and rinse will yield perfection. I’m glad you employed aTurtle Wax Hybrid Solutions product on the door jambs. Once you start on exteriors again, there are 5-6 of their products that are no joke the best I’ve ever used. Cost effective too. One last thing.Given that you use a Tornador, which is a spectacular tool, I’m not sure if pulling the seats is worthwhile. There’s risk involved in that. And being that I’m not very handy, I’d worry about throwing an airbag code or scratching the plastic when removing. Definitely an amazing job . I’m sure the customer was thrilled. Looking forward to your next video I definitely would like to see a Spring exterior detail. J

Thanks much Mr. Robert! I too love the Hybrid Solutions line of products. Turtle Wax REALLY reinvented themselves in the last 5 years with this line. I have used their Flex Wax and I also like their acrylic tire shine. I am hoping to try their new trim restorer as well. Pan the Organizer had a great video on it showing fabulous results. Yeah, removing the seats is overkill, but it's just SO much easier for me to move around inside the vehicle to get it clean. I am super careful with those metal rails so they don't touch the plastic trim because it's an automatic scratch. No question. As for the exterior, my new Griot's polishers should be arriving today. Getting a G8 and G9! I'm am so excited about that and practicing my first polish on my 2016 Corolla (black). I also have a ceramic coating arriving this weekend. Gyeon MOHS. Very highly regarded too. I will definitely be making that into a video to show what it's like to polish a car as a first timer. We are also in the process of getting the shop cleaned up AND we are talking about finishing off the other side of it to make into a wash bay. THAT would be awesome!
