@@AfopeAtoyebi I have high porosity low density fine thin hair. I KNOW I can't be the only person on the planet with this hair type! I think a video (or a little advice) on this hair type would be much appreciated. We're here but seem to always be overlooked. Makes me think this is considered the WORST hair type 😰

Oh no! There really is no “bad” vs. “Good” hair type. Healthy hair comes in all hair types. I actually have some stuff on fine hair queued in my content calendar, but it would be really helpful if you could let me know what are the topics/struggles of fine hair you would like me to do videos on?

Some extra deep conditioners that tick these boxes are shea moisture masques, especially the Manuka honey and mafura oil mask, and the jamaican black castor oil mask which both contain behentrimonium methosulfate and ticks a bunch of these ingredients. Idk if behentrimonium chloride is similar but most likely all their masks either have behentrimonium methosulfate or behentrimonium chloride.

Thank you so much for this video. I screenshot the ingredients. I hope you dont mind. I have challenged myself to start looking at ingredients and to consciously identify a few things that my hair likes and dislikes. I knew my hair loved btms!!!! It makes my coils calm down and chill out. If BTMS is in the list especially at the top, I know my hair will like it. But the INCI Beauty app says BTMS is not so good of an ingredient and I got so sad. But now I'm happy because if you say it's ok I know I'm good!
@AfopeAtoyebi4 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Of course screenshot away, girl. As with every other "artificial" ingredient and/or processed food, there will always be speculation about its possible effects on human health. But as far as hair goes...BTMS is the business.

Greetings from Singapore! Hi I am new here & chanced upon your Chanel. THANK YOU for you Paper Demonstration/ Visual Representation for how the seramides works! After 41yrs being on this earth, I now understand the use of / more likely the importance of remembering to always condition or deep conditioning after using a shampoo, especially a clarifying shampoo to ensure the cuticle gets closed. An open cuticle leads to dryness, which could then lead to frizz and breakage.

A few recommendations: 1. Davines Love Curl Shampoo (1. Purple, 2. White/Cream), 2. Moerie Beauty Shampoo, 3. Amika Kure Shampoo, 4. Nature's Secret Cucumber Aloe Shampoo, 5. Shu Uemura Urban Moisture Shampoo. All of these will go on sale throughout the year, the hardest one to get at a cheaper price will be #5. But all are on the level or better Redkin All Soft to me.

Love the content! I am high porosity with fine hair but lots of it so I struggle to keep moisture in my hair. On day one it's so soft and shiny then as day 3 rolls around it's looking a lot drier and the curls are turning into waves as it dries out. I like to put my bonnet on and take a steamy shower to add moisture back in in a way that doesn't create too much frizz. My question is about a DIY I'm about to attempt. I'm a big DIY hair product maker so it's good to see the different ingredients I use like slippery elm and marshmallow, and aloe being recommended here. I make rice water protein have doused my head in diluted gelatin for protein. Most things work. As far as aminos go what do you think of using Braggs aminos in a treatment? It contains maybe a dozen aminos. Don't know if that will translate or be able to be absorbed by the hair. any intel on DIY hair products?
