Deep Creek Lake Maryland Dive May 10th 2022

This is the 3rd time we did a dive at Deep Creek. This was the clearest we have seen the water yet. Spring time before the boat traffic gets to bad seems to be the time to dive. The water was 56 degrees.

What is even crazier is that the stumps have been underwater for almost a hundred years and the bigger ones may have been nearly 100 years old when they were felled.

Best to dive early spring, late September October Summer too many boats. Great area to spend summers

Looks like you were swimming through a lot of plankton down there!h This has been a fluky spring, so it's hard to say when the Daphnia peak, but we're fairly close.

Go towards the damn on the tight bend in the lake, you will find old cars
