I have to agree. I feel like the dynamic between the two is what makes them shippable. It's an "opposite atracts" trope with a mix of natural enemies/prey and predator dynamic.

I'm not too surprised that there's a ship between Peck x Greely, ik some people might think its weird cus they're polar opposites (Greely being a sort of introvert while Peck is an extrovert) But its really common for that to happen in Fandoms (Hero x Villian, Introvert x Extrovert, Kind x Mean etc). I don't mind but I definitely would've shipped this when I started AJ. especially since back then everyone had just this shipping rage to just ship everyone with everyone lol. (Also I love your artstyle)

4:19 I love this. GreelyXPeck was for some reason a big part of my writing journey. I’d write a few one-shots every now and then with them in it. I think without writing those one shots that eventually inspired a series, I don’t think I would’ve started writing. Yeah I had a few stories before but I’ve never been invested in any of them (except for one :p). One of those one-shots had Greeley and Peck going out for ice cream when a phantom attacks. The two fight it and get free ice cream at the end for saving the shop. Then at the end Greeley drops his ice cream. Ah, good times.

1:41 I think I know how I used to ship Peck and Greely together. After Peck re-unites with the rest of the Alpha's after destroying the Phantom Fortress, (keep in mind I haven't played AJ in quite a while, but I believe this is how it went down) they are congratulating us and eachother for working together to destroy the fortress, and when Peck compliments Greely (she says something to him, but I can't quite remember what), he stutters a bit and came off to me as flustered or embarrassed Not sure what sparked the ship for others, but that's what caused me to start shipping them. As of now, I think the ship is alright but I completely understand why people view them as good friends or purely platonic!

I mostly started shipping these two after I finished the adventure, Storming the Fortress and saw Peck wanting to give Greely a big hug for coming to her aid, and Peck was the first to come after him in the adventure The River's Heart. And after reading Call of the Alphas, I saw how Peck belived in Greely when no other alpha did, and thought he was no good. I don't really ship them as much now... But I have to say, I really used to ship them when I was into adventuring a lot.

I'm pretty sure that the Greely and Peck ship is something based off of the lore in AJ. In Storming the Fortress (adventure on AJ classic) when you destroy the cores of the phantom engine, the green goo flowing from it turns pink before Peck appears in front of you and Greely. It's then revealed that Greely went looking for Peck after she went missing some time around the time that the Phantom Badlands adventure happened. Peck went through the badlands in order to find the fortress. Greely then went looking for her, and its implied that Greely cared a lot about Peck and saw her more as his daughter than he saw her as a colleague. Hope this clears it up for those confused.

As a fact, when I was a kid I've always shipped my animal with Greely or Sir Gilbert. I find it funny because I had the extremely old art on paper of my self insert x AJ alpha I hated Peck during that time as a kid but now I like her because she reminds me of my little chaotic self (with the hyperactive, creative personality mostly) I honesty love all the alphas (specially Greely, hehe)

I honestly beleive the alphas view eachother like siblings and Liza is like the oldest sibling being a parental figure. I could just never picture them otherwise and I would think they had normal animal mates. I amgine Cosmo would be a love struck type of guy, Peck would be the one to shower her lover with affection, Greely definitely had an edgy forbidden romance Warrior Cats style, Graham is probably already married, and I think Liza would have a girlfriend.
