6:57 transition from quarter guard to deep half. Simple but great! I always stuck with the quarter guard at the bottom.

Hey Tim, nice to see your face on here. I visited your school in Calgary 7 or 8 years ago when you were still a brown belt. Awesome to see you are thriving as a black belt and now on KZbin. I've been finding myself in a deep half/deep x guard position a lot lately and was missing some key details explained here. Awesome instructional and I am now subscribed. Osss

However I didn’t follow the head to shoulder and was scratching my head as to why I got kimura’d, darced & arm triangle just because of that missing detail.

Would you attempt the Brazilian Bikini NoGi (e.g. grabbing his arm instead of lapel) or does it not offer enough control? Assume your opponent is equally skilled to yourself.
@AlavancaHQ3 жыл бұрын
A lot of times in Nogi guys will grab the arm to set up the Twister position from the Truck (or Bikini), but using a grip on the arm or the head, in addition to thrusting the hooked leg downward can help in taking the back without Gi grips.

could you do a banana slit from the bikini back take?

Is there a version of the Brazilian bikini for nogi? I tried to google but got different kind of results.

How do you stop opponent putting his knee to the floor?

As a new deep half players when Im "resting" on their lap they try to attack the lapel sometimes trying to collar chokes etc. What are we doing with this. Or it is irrelevant?

Very complicated instructions IMO. For me, I'd like to see the move with no instruction, then break down each section and show it full through again,
