That was legit! Going to work on this. Love the possibilities!

Salute to the cameraman for catching all the angles undirected! The leg torquing was a base for a lot of Joe Moriera's half-guard escapes in his book Strategic Guard. Now I get it.

Awesome. I’ve been doing a variation of this lately where I take my free hand and grab their opp side lower leg and pull (carefully) which pulls me forward toward their center. The weight transfers and they fall to their back. Nice to have a name for it

Thanks for actually showing something to get to your side with; so many half-guard tutorials are "start on your hip", but if my opponent is letting me stay off my back, I'm not "stuck" in half guard to begin with...

I worry about the hand on the hip and elbow on the floor, he switches his hips hard and your wrist is toast. But good stuff all around!

I had the same thought. Should be ok with a classic elbow frame, you might just need to push with your lats to get the space for swimming the other hand under the chin

Eu gosto de visualizar vários vídeos explicando meia guarda, porque sempre têm um detalhe diferente da mesma posição explicado por outro professor.

I tried this but I'm sure I did it wrong bc it didn't work for me. Also my partner is at least 100lbs more than me. Is there a modified version for people with shorter legs?

This Sweep takes a bit of a knack to get right in a live roll. Establishing a strong Dogfight position helps because you ideally want your partner to be pushing into you when you roll under, so that he helps sweep himself. You also don't want to roll directly backward, more forward towards your shoulder, getting directly under him and letting tip off the fulcrum you've made with your body.
