That’s not necessarily true, my friend! It is difficult to pinpoint an exact chronological order of when areas in the UK became multicultural, as multiculturalism has been a gradual process that has evolved over time. However, some key areas that have historically been known for their multicultural populations include: 1. London: London has long been a diverse and multicultural city, with communities from all over the world living and working in the city. 2. Bradford: Bradford has a large South Asian population, particularly of Pakistani descent, making it a multicultural city. 3. Birmingham: Birmingham is another city with a diverse population, with significant communities from South Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. 4. Leicester: Leicester has a large South Asian population, particularly of Indian descent, as well as communities from Africa and Eastern Europe. 5. Manchester: Manchester has a diverse population, with communities from South Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. While Southall may have been an early example of a multicultural area in the UK, it is just one of many areas that have become multicultural over time. Each of these areas has a unique history and demographic makeup that has contributed to their multicultural character.

They even got rid of certain listed buildings, That temple was not built in the 50s Southall had a cinema and bowling alley in the 70s & 80s, the population was made up of white people & black Caribbean (mostly Grenada) back in the day the Sikhs were allowed to wear swords on their waist as part of their religion. There also was 2 Asian gangs in the 80s the holy smokes & can’t remember the other. Blair Peach was killed by police in a anti national front march in 1979 and no police were ever charged. The worst thing is, “India” didn’t even exist. The Hindus had their countries dravidia, Tamilia, marathia, kingdom of bengal. The Sikhs had their country in the north - Sarkar-E-Khalsa (nearly all of Panjab and Lahore the capital), and the Muslim Mughals controlled Delhi, afghani durranis controlled most parts of rajasthan and gujrat inbetween everything. The British dissolved everything in 1857, enslaved just about everybody and everything, created trains and transport to loot everything, sucked em dry like vampires, then ran off and cut Panjab of all places in half in 1947, and virtually destroyed the Sikh holy land and has halted Sikhs into slavery for the best part of 75 years. The irony is crazy.

Southall has predominantly been a Punjabi area however during the years its become a mix of other parts of India, Pakistan and Afganistan. The reason why tourists (foreign) dont go to Southall is because they prefer Brick lane thinking that its an Indian area with its curry restaurants. Tourists cant be bothered to go to Zone 4 when they can just see a glimpse everything in Zone 1-2. Southall gets rammed during Vaishaki, Diwali, Eid. Sikh Gurdwara*. It’s called a Gurdwara and named at the front. Not to be confused with the “Hindu” temples.

This fascinating Guardian article tells how the first Punjabis arrived in Southall in the early 1950s, spearheading the move of many millions of Asians to Britain, as well as earning Southall the nickname Chota Punjab (Little Punjab).

BRO IN SOUTHALL YOU SAY SAT SRI AKAAL AND THAT'S IT. 2) ITS LITTLE PUNJAB 3) EVERYONE KNOWS SOUTHALL DUE TO THE SKIN HEADS RIOTS. HOW SIKHS KICKED THEM OUT. 4)STATION HAS PUNJABI WRITTEN ON THE SIGN. 5) FEW MUSLIMS DO VISIT SIKH GURDWARAS EVERYONE IS WELCOME . 6) FREE FOOD FOR EVERYONE

Respect to you for visiting my home town - I grew up there. Advise you do a bit of research before you go to places though. Sikh places of worship are called Gurdwaras and Hindu places of worship are temples. No such language as Indian, it was in Punjabi specifically Gurmukhī. You say Sat Sri Akal as a greeting to Sikh people. And you should have continued walking down the Broadway to savour some of the proper food in the restaurants 😂
