Been to Japan and have seen all the major touristy things. In the future, I really want to go "off the beaten path" as you did in this video. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for this. I've been married to my Japanese wife for 20 years with a 16 yr old son and we stop by Nara where she is from. Yes, I know that area by Nara station. It's like walking back in time. Some of the best food on the planet. Keep the travel blog going and we are fans.

My wife & I are travel agents and watch dozens of videos about places we plan to visit. We want to see if there are interesting sights as well as good food. This video strikes a good balance. Shizuka seems to do her homework and is well prepared. This video features good editing and commentary. Too many food vloggers waste time and footage filming close ups stuffing their face and mugging for the camera. Shizuka thankfully avoids that and instead makes the video more about the place and less about herself. Keep up the good work!

Kyoto is insane with tourism right now. Even the locals are extremely fatigued, unfortunate they get 2 extremes, either absolutely nothing during COVID, or half the world going to Kyoto all at once. Please AVOID the main cities when travelling to Japan and do not LITER! The littering is getting out of control.

In this episode Shizuka recovering from tongue surgery after a new one was donated by a family whose daughter died from liver poisoning, apparently had one too many fried oysters which produced an effect her new tongue warned her about and even after drinking all that Japanese Saki a quick dash back home was suggested by the producers.
