I love how Don Airey and Steve Morse have created this new Purple sound which is quite refreshing and energetic. These musicians were not just mere replacements, their contributions in Deep Purple are invaluable!

Steve is so good. But this music doesn’t sound DeepPurplish. Lord was so much more delicate and restrained, real gentleman in his solos and backings. Never played so many useless arpeggios and sequences. Don shows his skills, Jon played music.

Blackmore is the only reason why I ever listened to this band in the first place. I liked Rainbow better, especially with Dio in the band, than anything from Deep Purple. This is ok at best even with the great Steve Morse on guitar.

It's absolutely wonderful they are still putting out new songs for us loyal fans worldwide. I am so tired of reading comments on how Ian can't sing these days, and that Deep Purple is not Deep Purple without Ritchie. I love Ritchie to bits, and I still think he is the greatest guitar player in the world but that era is over, and he is doing what he enjoys most these days with his own crew. I am just glad Ian, Roger, Paicey, Steve and Don are still around for us today. May they continue for many more years. RIP, Jon Lord. Missing you so much still.

I'm an Iron Maiden fan but also Deep Purple is my everything. When I was child, I was thinking that DP is Classical hero as Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Bach, Dvorak...etc. Their classical riffs united me to them as basic. No need to explain more. They go on making what they do and like, and if they go on, I go on too with them 'til the end. Friends, all of us know that this is last album and world tour of them, so let's show respect and give power them that they deserve. "All we got is you (DP)"...

In my opinion this is the rebirth of a long gone Deep Purple. Everything is just right! I haven't had this feeling since way back in the 70's, the first time I heard "Lazy". I can't help myself missing The Maestro tho.. I never will. But I'm sure he's sitting up there behind his grand piano with a big smille on his face and hail the work of his descendant, Don Airey. And Ritchie....... Sitting in his castle planning yet another egotrip with his mediocre garageband, with a tear in his eye thinking "all I got is you".

Steve Morse's unique right hand technique has taken its toll over the years. He suffers from (or has become very prone to suffer from) tendonitis, so he has to wear that therapeutic glove and he had to change his picking a bit too. What a guy. Definitely one of the greatest of all time and a huge inspiration for the rest of us, just mortal guitar players.
