Love everything you do. Just a small hint. You can scratch your molds by placing items in them. For instance you placed your bottle of "muse" in the mold while you were mixing the muse into your resin., and also placed the cap of the muse bottle into one of the other molds. These scratches will show up on your cured coasters. Thanks for your detailed instructions and your beautiful creations.

Something I would suggest to help is that since the bottom of the first layer you make is the side you like most to just pour the background layer on top! It will reduce the risk of there being any disconnection between the two layers and there will be much less wear on the moulds! It’s helped me with my resin works. Regardless these look stunning!!

HI, love them all, they don't have to be the same each time, I like the variety. For the blue one, I think its a case of letting the white resin cure longer before you pipe out so it doesn't disperse as much into the clear resin, its all about timing which is easier said than done! Have fun trying 💜

@@AndreaStevens2012 yes, let the white become thicker before piping. The timing is the tricky bit, it depends on what resin is used.

I love the blue one and had a think about wanting to recreate it. Perhaps the resin in the piping cured just a little bit longer, making it heavier and less able to disperse, may give a similar effect in other pieces?

Don’t forget to go slow when you unmold and show finish product;) you need a small creme brûlée torch to lightly get bubbles out, don’t be scared, but makes it glass clear, let your resin sit maybe a minute longer then normal so that white has a chance to 3D effect and not be to hot and melt. The gun you are using is heating the resin but NOT popping bubbles like torches do. Even a long lighters don’t be scared of the fire, I’m up to real torches now lol. Light little pops and don’t stay too long in one place and you’re fine:):)

You don’t want to use any heat at all on silicone molds! To release the bubbles, LIGHTLY spritz with 91% alcohol. I get a small water bottle from Walmart. The kind you put water in to spray and wet your hair. I find it in the beauty section near where they keep the travel size shampoo, toothpaste, etc. I put my alcohol in that and hold the bottle a foot above my molds and spritz. It pops all bubbles. Works perfectly. With heat you can melt the mold and ruin it. Your piece will be permanently stuck in the mold. If you do get it out you’ll rip the silicone. So no heat!

To get that look that you are wanting. The one you pointed out towards the end I think you should heat your epoxy or let it sit till it's closer to setting up before you use it. That's why it kept its shape when you made them because it was already hot and starting to set so it didn't thin and spread out like it does when you heat it in the mold because you have already heated it and it has already done so. Hope this helps. 😊

They turned out pretty. Can I offer just a little advice? If you used a better resin, you wouldn't have so many bubbles, that resin is for beginners and you are not a beginner. Also, never stack your coasters on top of others as they will scratch. I learned that a long time ago...I had no idea they would. Resin has to fully cured for 3 days...and to be honest..I always let mine cure 1 week before stacking them. Please don't take my suggestions the wrong way....or just delete the comment if you want, But when your coasters look this pretty...they would be beautiful with a good resin. 😁

To me on the blue one that you like, the clear resin may have been thicker or further along in the curing process (I.e. maybe it took just a little extra time to start piping in the white?) (OR perhaps the white was further along in the curing process and was thicker so it didn't disperse) Perhaps that's why the white didn't disperse like the others? Anyway they are all really pretty!

I know this is an older video but my guess would be that the mixing and how long the resin sits before you pour and then how much you use the heat gun to blow. I would think all those variables would have to be exact to replicate.

it looks like the ones where the white is sort of... wiggled around... those ones look like you either left a fan on nearby them, or there was something jiggling the table they were resting on? or maybe a train or 18-wheeler shook your house? which would totally affect the stability of the designs you draw in the epoxy. If you're trying to create a more finely detailed design you should wait until the clear base starts curing a little bit, so it's not completely liquid that way the white lines you're drawing on top of that layer will not sink into the clear as much, and then to make sure they don't wiggle around a lot, make sure to cover the molds so no wind/breeze etc. affects the surface of the epoxy, and furthermore, try to make sure they are on a steady, level surface that won't be shaken at all. Stability and uninterrupted surface protection are key to design fidelity.

It all depends on the viscosity of your resin. Try pouring your white at different time after you mix it. After mixing the white let it sit for 10 minute so it thickens a little. Next time try 20 mins to add the white and see what happens. At some point you will know the right times to get different effects. It's all about timing good luck!!!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WORK!! i love how each one is different- everything in life is not identical and besides it has great character to each one. If you ever saw a snowflake under a microscope there are none alike. The beauty of art is that everyone has a different style to share. Creativity makes art fun to enjoy in every way. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this and look forward to continue watching you create beautiful things. Is it possible the changing weather has anything to do with the process change? humidity really messes with resin and paint, I am really good at not paying attention to the weather and i have to go on my balcony to do my projects- I live in an apt. If you can - get a humidifier in your workspace where you lay your resin to dry, it will make a huge difference!

not the temperature but it has to do with resin curing time. you should wait to put your piping resin in the clear until it has thicken like 15 -20 minutes or so depending on the brand of resin you are using when the resin has started to cure it will get thick and your piping will not mix into it so much and keep maintain its structure ( its shape

Het is de kleur die het verschil maken denk ik. Mooi.

The difference in your coasters probably have something to do with the weather, as in the resin was warmer in the last one and the first one and colder in the others. That is my theory anyway. Love the way you do them. But boy a lot of work. I see others just do the one layer but I do like the way you do them because I am with you I don't like the back of them either. So you cover up the not so nice side. Great idea.

Have you tried waiting a bit before doing the white. What if you tried letting the resin cure a bit to thicken it

I watched the blue one and with that one when you were making your flower part the resin had already started setting because it was really hot as I remember so it had less movement.

For the white. What about try using a syringe to insert color at different depths and angles into the resin.

Question. Why take them out of the mold? Could you just leave them in the mold and poor the other layer on top to get the same look?

Could it be the stage in which the resin is setting that's messing it up, the white would move different in a stiffer, more set resin then freshly mixed watery resin....

Just wondering why you couldn't just put the purple on top of the clear....seems like it would be easier.

The differences could be alot of different things .. like the additives that you have put into each one or how hot you get each one when your getting rid of the bubbles. Then how much it cools down before you add the other stuff. And the temputer and humidity changes in the area your making them .. it's alot like glazing pottery.. in that you can do the exact same steps and measure amounts accurately but so much of it revolves around the chemistry even more and we just really can't control that part thus things just turn out different no matter how much we try to do the same exact things... None the less I have to say they are soooo beautiful and cam imagine they look even more awesome in person !!

This channel has become one of my favorites! Wondering if you ever considered using UV resin to fix holes or scratches. Would be lots more quick. And I'd love seeing a set of these in Autmn or Christmas colors. I bet they'd really sell well in the Fall.

Those are so pretty! With the one that had a space between the two layers. I wonder if there's some inconsistencies in the size of each Circle in the mold. I wonder if making sure that you put the white layer back into the same Circle that it came out of would make it easier to get them to fit better.

What is the reason that you used the heat gun before you put the other colors ? Do the colors always spread like that by the next morning like the white did ? I love it when it does that
