07/08/2022---Ritchie Blackmore never gets the credit/recognition he deserves. I love the burnt light orange sound of his southern guitar chords/licks. For without Ritchie, southern rock would have never existed. And the same goes for the sound Ritchie gave to Jimi Hendrix's guitar, and Pink Floyd's COMFORTABLY NUMB guitar solo--lost soul feeling/sound-- At least when Machine Head was created, Jon l behaved himself on the keyboards. I think it was after this lp, that he refused to listen/cooperate with Ian and Ritchie, what with mimicking Ritchie's guitar, making siren noises ( at Cal Jam ), and playing the theme from Jaws, thus throwing Ritchie into a frenzy, and Ian as well, both on stage and off---
