Well, don't get too excited as regular viewers have seen some of this video before. It's a full series of the winters adventures and camping that just passed. I normally try and produce one or two of these long format videos every year. They seem to do pretty well, and from feedback, people like to put them on in the background while they give Bigfoot a full body massage. Anyway, thanks again for all your support this winter, and I appreciate you watching. The 4.0 shall be dragged from its snowy tomb in the coming episodes where it will meet an angel grinder and a welder. Happy Easter 🐣

I am sorry but can you fit Bigfoot, an angle grinder and welder in the roof tent? Do you need therapy or is that what happens in the roof tent. I also appreciate what goes on in the roof tent stays in the roof tent. 🎉 You have brightened my wet and soggy evening in the UK.

Lol...my poor wife doesn't understand how I can laugh my butt off watching a camping video. What a sense of humor. Thanks, Mike. P.S. that long distant night fire pit shot was awesome.

You know Mike watching your videos and And how they evolved in your camping's evolved over the years First video I saw of yours was a kid out in the woods showing different ways to use a tarp to sleep under and how to use the rope to hang the tarp from two trees and different knots you could use I was impressed and kind of angry and embarrassed at the same time because every single one of those knots you use I know I know how to use them but I never thought to use him the way you were using them it just made me feel kind of stupid That's what got me hooked on your videos to see what else you could come up with that I already knew about but didn't do out in the field Then your journey building your Jeep XJ up was very enjoyable to watch Thanks for the videos I really enjoy them

What a fighter you are. That is the worst snow there. Every time I'm out with a 4x4, I learn something new about how to tackle deep snow, and for those who haven't tried it, it's really an incredible experience worth trying

Perfect that's my evening sorted. While you have fun with your flashlight or fleshlight, with big foot tucking you into bed while trying to take your hot dog. I can sit down with a G&T and enjoy. I do love your sense of humour. I am so so glad you did that video on the old channel to tell me that you had this one. Also as you love a pancake comment I won't even mention that last one you did. Keep up the good work!

You should try some studded chains for lorries or even better, some forestry studded chains fro tractors :)

Yeah, I've considered them. Certainly improved traction. Next winter perhaps 🤔

@@WorkshoptoWilderness I bought two pairs for 315/80R22.5 lorry tires for only 1300 NOK each pair. Basically unused with close to zero rust. Fits my 40/13.5R17 well enough with a few links removed. In both Norway and Sweden lorries are required to carry chains during winter time, so there is a lot of them around and can be had cheap on the second hand market. Pretty sure they would fit your 35" tires as well, just have to shorten them in even more. So you can definitively found a good deal out there :D

If you need more traction from your tire chains, but are trying to keep the weight of them down, then why don't you modify them by just adding a larger size link, for every other link on the sections that crosses your tire treads , It will add quite a bit more traction surface without adding very much more weight. It is the way a lot of guys have built chains around where I live at for many years For using on light duty rear wheel drive tractors for plowing snow. Thank you for your videos. Tim from Wisconsin.

Hello! If you are keen to try a new splitting axe, I can really recommend Gränsfors's smallest splitting axe. just the right size to have in the car. I just acquired an Xj which I am in the process of converting to an Overlander. Will be a slightly less extreme build than yours with 3" lift and 31" tires... If you are curious about trying to drive a bit more off-road, I can recommend the Sweden offroad tour that runs every summer v.28. Always nice to watch your videos, from an offroader a little further south in Sweden.

I think you must be mistaken about Bigfoot. He (she) lives in North America and it's not like he can just jump on a plane and get to Sweden. There are several local options though like trolls, elves, ‘näcken’ and the slightly less scary but more common moose.

Just wondering if you've had any experience with driving snow and your headlights yet? Do they get hot enough to melt snow that builds up on them?
@WorkshoptoWilderness
@WorkshoptoWilderness 4 ай бұрын
I've tested them for one winter, so maybe 5 months. They don't get hot enough to melt snow with oncoming blizzards. I wouldn't recommend them on a daily driver. My rig is used for these adventures only so I can pick my battles. But if I got caught in a blizzard, they wouldn't work.

27:00 Maybe I missed the explanation, but wouldn't your diesel heater warm the engine, so that you don't need an electric engine heater to drain your power bank?
@WorkshoptoWilderness
@WorkshoptoWilderness 4 ай бұрын
At chapter 3 on this video, you will see that I've built a new diesel heater that heats the engine. I did it part way through my winter travels, so it's not present in the first couple of episodes. Thanks for watching.

It's very rare. Perhaps twice in the last six years. There isn't much of a population in northern Europe. Most live in the south. Occasionally, I will see someone on a snowmobile, or hear them.
