Folks, I’m here to tell you something fun. I was actually surprised to find out that deep squat heels down is kinda a “harder variation” of normal squat. Cause I grew up in Ukraine and PE is a mandatory subject for all students every year of school. And we all always do this deep squat not even knowing about other types of squats. We all can do it without any problem and lol you now imagine how shocked I was to find out that there are people unable to do this.

Bro could you please post a video about your personal favorite workouts and maybe how to start doing them? I’ve been skinny and somewhat flexible, but also strong my entire life. I want to get into ‘bodybuilding’ but not like most people that bulk and cut and go to the gym and lift heavy weights… I don’t wanna be super big, I love being lightweight but I don’t wanna loose muscle since I’m physically inactive rn due to an injury. I want to do it just like you, doing handstands, lift my whole body rather effortlessly… not feel like a noodle pretty much lol I really love your channel and the content bc I can really relate to it and feel like I actually achieve realistic goals according to my body type. I've been able to do this easily since I was a little kid, and I thought everyone could do this. Weirdly, I'm not actually that flexible. I can barely touch my toes and I can't even do half of the splits. But when I do this deep squat, there's no pain or even the slightest bit of resistance whatsoever. It's actually very comfortable.

What does a shuffle run look like?
@nobodybutaghost
@nobodybutaghost Жыл бұрын
@@missvon889 well, iits sort of difficult to explain but it is among some of my funniest runs, so I'll do my best. Step one, squat down. Step two, (you might need to lean forward) you slide one foot forward, lifting up only as much as you can while still being quick. Step three, do the same for the other. Step four, keep "running" add in arms. Now you look like a huddle that is running. You're also about as fast as a snail on crack but at least it's fun :)

Hey David, I love your videos! I have a problem on my hamstrings and Achilles tendons. They are shortened and whenever I walk I usually support the tip of my foot instead of supporting my heel and then the tip. I can't even do a squad without putting some support on my heels. Whenever I try to stretch them I always get the feeling they'll break. So much tension and pain. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you so much, and stay flexy!

The problem is weak adductors, not tight hamstrings, not tight hips, nor your adductors being tight, but weak adductors, horse stance is a great way to train them and you can also do them dynamically or do wider stance sqats and try to engage your glutes Another one is a side plank but raise the top leg on a chair(or your bed) and lift the bottom of the ground, do them with bent legs for 30 s and then when you progress do them with straight legs

Yes - almost anyone can achieve a deep squat - but not anyone can achieve a deep squat with an upright torso - which is whats required for safely performing deep squats under high loads. People with poor ankle or hip mobility will have to compensate by excessively flexing their spine to reach full squat depth. That makes is impossible to squat with upright torso (let alone with arms overhead). The solution is to elevate the heels on a plate or slant board. This is a big part of why certain populations are over/under represented globally in olympic weightlifting. Eastern Europeans and East Asians have, on average, shallower hip sockets.

So ankle mobility is the limiting factor 🤔 I can deep squat but not very narrow. Can partially go down in a narrow stance but I think what’s happening is my knees want to retreat behind my toes so I’d fall back. If I hold onto a door or something, I can go down but my knees stay perpendicular to the ground more or less - not beyond my toes. Ill get there 💪
