They showed the Golden Gate Bridge when that lyric passed as well. I think them driving into the ocean like that with him just blank-faced like he is along for the ride but not in any control represents her fear that she is dragging him down with her... then when he reaches out and they smile it reassures her that he is in it WITH her through good AND bad. No matter what.

I like how she put a darker voice behind the chorus. I think the chorus is suppose to be finneas calming her down/reviving her. But the darkness in the voice symbolizes how she perceives their actions as impossing and almost negative because its waking her from her "dream".

This song is about Billie finally getting everything she wanted in a dream and killing herself. When she wakes from this dream she goes to her brother And he tells her that is she could see herself the way he sees her she wouldn’t feel that way about herself and anyone who wouldn’t care if she died never deserved her in the first place. The video represents their bond, and how he has been by her side through the depression and suicidal thoughts.

See, my question would be: She states she woke up and her brother is right next to her. So, they sleep together? Side note; what her brother says to her when she woke up...that's something I would expect a partner/boyfriend/husband to say. Look, I have a twin sister. We were never this close and we shared our mothers womb, lmao. That's why I find the word choices in the song off putting. When I first heard it, I thought she was talking about a boyfriend. Knowing it's her brother, brings memories of "Flowers in the Attic" rushing back.
