I worked for the UN World Food Programme in the Somalia Civil War, Rwandan genocide, Darfur (Sudan) genocide, Yemen Civil War, Haiti earthquake/cholera epidemic… We always found a way to successfully deal with rebel groups, warring clans, failed/corrupt governments… We worked against war, famine, disease, and natural disaster. Never were we forced to defeat the immense governmental/political/financial intervention of the United States (my country) in order to deliver basic humanitarian assistance. This man's heart may be in the right place; however, I disagree with his statement that only the Netanyahu government has the power to end the atrocities. The US government has that right, by ending funding to Israel and, therefore, defunding the genocide. I see though, that later in his address, he talked a bit more about not funding Israel until they start allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza..
