Dear Deepji, What I am sharing here is based on my experience. I have spent almost 30 years in after sales field and in the industry of automobile/ engine there are certain facts about each brand which prevails. There are clearly three major automobile clusters in the world- -Japan - Europe and US. As you may be aware that entire two and four-wheeler market was swept away by Japan makes mainly because Quality, customer lead focus and systems. The Honda is bit expensive on first go however the service and spare part cost is very customer led. As far as normal service is concern both may cost you same (Japan and Europe). But, if you need some spare part replacement -Say chain sprocket (like you Hyness) then you will find the real difference. No doubt BMW quality is also top of the line. However, after all it’s a machine. The customer handling approach of Japanese organization is far superior than others. In case we need any extraordinary assistance then European organization are very rigid. Moreover, the spare part fulfillment system of Japanese organization are well known (most are basically Toyota systems). The strategy of any organization can be seen from there presence and actions. Now, question is why HONDA brand is already established in India since last 30 years and why BMW is so late in coming to India. I hope I made my point clear. Rest we know you will buy the best. But just thought to keep few more angles in thinking process. Sorry for long comment……

but Honda's BigWing showroom in gurgaon has been known for mistreating their customers. I was trying to decide between the cb650r and the kawasaki z650rs. I went with the latter because of my experience with the salesmen. However big a corporation might be, if there individuality is lost due to there sales team, its still on them, since they lost a sale.

I would suggest to raise complaint in Customer assistance if you face such in future. At the same time you can share the experience of another Japanese org- Kawasaki .....

Nothing can beat AT...many European riders shifted to AT after selling their GS and Tiger... If i have to chose between all 3 bikes then AT would be my choice, i wont mind to spend some extra bucks to get best in segment... There's nothing like VFM as u roll out bike out of showroom...so think wisely and get right,,, don't let budget lure ur decision...

Honda ATAS is the god tier of adv dual sport bikes. ❤ Only BMW has electronically adjustable suspensions. But honestly it is mostly a gimmick. Quick shifter is a gimmick also.. Nothing beats DCT once you get used to it.

I really love the view of the road through the visor. It actually gives the feel of a fighter jet view along with the massive cockpit. Insect spots would be a problem during long runs but that's the feel of it. ❤

I still vote for Africa twin over BMW and Tiger. It is among one of the rarest bike in India. There are hell lot of BMW and tiger vloggers. This bike is at next level. Specially AT. In western countries riders are shifting from BMW to Africa twin. There is nothing like VFM when you go for big bikes. So think wisely. Don’t go in the rat race of BMW brand. Africa twin will be the best suited bike for you. Plus cheaper parts and availability of service centre matters a lot because problems do come in big bike and at that time service centre near you is a blessing. Just go for this Beast Africa twin.

Confusion ka solution: BMW kitne bar bole Africa Twin kitne bar bole 😊 Mujhe laaga you are more lean towards BMW 850 i guess By the way just refer vlog of Wroom sachin.. from Pune. They had harrowing experience of Tiger Service.. One thing is sure, such bikes you cannot repair through local mechanics if it stalls on remote location, you need RSA. Don't make the mistake of buying European bikes as they are costly to maintain. Mileage is also an issue. AT is costly while buying, but after that it's very pocket friendly. Go for AT. There's no comparison. If you have doubts, watch Fortnine review of Africa Twin, you'll forget other brands.

I agree that clarity is needed while buying these bikes. A little observation of mine, there are people who like the feeling of sitting in the bike and there are those who like the feeling of sitting on the bike. AT gives you that sitting within and on the 850 you sit on the bike. Second and most Important thing to know while buying a heavy bike, the seat height. On the 850 you sit a lot higher than AT, which would make it a unsafe ride for most average short riders in India. Anything under 185CM is short for the whole BMW adventure series. BMW are German bikes and made for tall German people. Lastly, the build quality of the 850 is somehow cheap, looks cheap, feels cheap when you ride it or even when you look at it closely. Maybe that’s why they sell it at such reduced prize? AT build quality 9/10..

sir practically speaking honda africa twin makes sense for you as it is much cheaper, reliable, the service cost is low, parts availability, more service centers across india , and the amount u will save after picking this bike, u can spend more on traveling and we all know bike cars are not assets they are liabilities, so it does makes any sense to purchase a costly bike at this moment as ur channel has just started growing , or if u come from a rich background and money is not an issue u can get any bike which u like

Don't go for the bmw they are very famous for faulty bikes with no proper service and horrific after sales service So it's better you play it safe by going for the Africa twin and you'll be confident that you've taken the right decision and have peace of mind for the years to come It'll be better if you get the AT coz it's gonna help you in off-road and long rides

And I think everyone knows ki it will be a hard decision between gs 850 and africa twin. Because I feel ki you want the 850 gsa, but because of your long relation with honda you feel more connected to the africa twin as your friend also has it.
